How is thinking he might be good,  a premature knee jerk reaction, but somehow him not being a franchise QB and not good enough to get us past round 1, isnt just as premature at this point

He has shown enough through his time in the NFL to be good. Saints vikings so on. Have we seen him top 10 carrying nfl teams franchise good?? No...

Teddy has already "put the team on his back" the last two weeks carrying this offense without CMC. A 73% completion and going 7-11 on 3rd downs is putting team on back or whatever other vague terms you guys wanna come up with to measure him.

He's doing everything that's needed in this offense and has been solid considering the limited training camp, no preseason.

The Panthers already have their franchise Qb, if he continues to improve in this offense, you guys will just be late to the party.

Thats not putting the team on his back. He's been efficient. Go look at Russ,Rodgers, guys throwing 3-4 touchdowns week in week out as examples. Throwing 1-2 and a pick is just ok. Status quo.  Also without cmc Mike Davis is playing out of his mind good. Like barely missing a beat good.. What are u adding up?

The honest answer is we don't know if he can put a team on his back and win a game.

Teddy is definitely an improvement over what the Panthers have been able to field these last few years.

Does TB have more to offer than what we've witnessed so far/is he capable of carrying the team on his back?

Jury is still out on that one.

What he has done this year is remarkable when you think about how little time he has been able to spend with his recievers.  As the year goes on the bond will only get better.  I expect we see some really good stuff from teddy as the season goes on

Yea  judging Teddy's 4 game sample size with Panthers to that of Rodgers and Wilson is not fair.

This past Sunday he threw for 2 Tds and ran for 1 if that's status quo I'll take it, that will win alot of games in this league.

Rodgers is a sure ballet Hall of Famer and Wilson looks to be on his way to that. But this past Super Bowl they were watching the Jimmy G led 49ers play. So there is more than one way to skin a cat.

I'm not part of the "Teddy will never be good enough" crowd, or at least I don't think I am. Others may put me there.

I suppose I'd consider myself part of the "Teddy probably won't ever be a franchise QB but is pretty good and might be better than I thought" crowd if that's a thing.

Maybe it's just me (I'm my own crowd).

Nah, you're not alone.  I'm there with you.  But middle ground is not allowed here.

He has played less than 3 seasons as a starter. And he has played 4 different systems. He carried us yesterday with CMC out. I have definitely seen folks say Cam was carrying folks on his back after doing less than Bridgewater did yesterday.

Exactly I'm glad you noticed it as well. Sometimes I be feeling like I'm in bazarro world reading this board. In 2013 it was the defense Hardy, Johnson that carried this team, the offense was meh! in 2014 Cam deserves alot credit he had limited weapons and the defense was not as dominant, we also lucked up by having a terrible division.

2015 it all came together defense was good and Cam played at a MVP level.

But to act like Teddy performance this past Sunday doesn't deserve praise as if we've had all-world quarterbacking in the past is just insane.

Oh jesus..now we're comparing teddy to cam saying he's done more? First we have one of the better offensive cores in the NFL.  Teddy is efficient yes. Hes somewhere between 8-15 for me. As a qb. But he isn't winning you games with Ted Ginn as your qb or that abomination in New England cam is carry and already mentioned as a mvp candidate.

No. No one said that Teddy did more than Cam through 9 seasons. But when Cam threw for 2 TDs, almost 300 yards and ran for 1 he was surely given credit and not called a game manager. He was surely said to be carrying the team on his back.

And there were a few throws yesterday that Bridgewater made that Cam can't make. Like a pinpoint dart to a spot or lofting it with touch over the defenders head. They are not the same for sure but Teddy won that game yesterday and deserves the credit for it.
