We should probably enjoy tomorrow’s game. My gut says this very well could be winding towards an end over the next 10-14 days.

Nah.  If Walmart, McDonald’s Harris Teeter, your mechanic, your doctors office, your school, your local restaurant can deal with it.....the NFL won’t fold just because they are having to deal with it IMO.

I mean they could fold at some point.  Just don’t think it will be this early.   What is happening now....was always going to happen.  It was a known fact.

Not saying it should or shouldn’t be the factor but actual results of these cases likely will play a big factor.

Fans are far more wed to individual players than I think the NFL will be.  As long as the Titans case is the exception and not the rule, the season will go on.

It's not out of the question. Honestly, the NBA "bubble" concept was the way to go, but it's a lot harder with football because there's a lot more people involved.

They said the same thing 1 week into MLB season.

Theyre not losing 1 year of revenue because of 4 teams lmao.

Players don't play, players don't get paid, not just and owner issue.

Agreed with everything you said. Biggest issue is logistically how to pull off a season of games are getting cancelled week in and week out.

what does the nfl do if we get to December and one team has had three games cancelled while another has played a full slate?  How do you determine who goes to the post season?  How do you justify sending a team who has Three less games or wear and tear into a playoff format where another team has done 13 weeks without a bye (like Pittsburgh and Tennessee May have to do)

NFL botched this completely by not starting the season in August and building in 2-4 additional bye weeks during the season to account for makeup games

I'm honestly not sure how much forethought went into any of these decisions. It really doesn't seem like there was much if any.

I agree with your overall point, but I think the biggest difference here is that the general public doesn't really care about the health of the people at those jobs or in those schools.

The spotlight is shined far brighter on this than those situations.  This is about PR as much as anything else.  There is only so much the NFL can stand by and say "positive cases are going to happen" (which just irks me typing that out) before it starts to look terrible on their end for not stepping up like the NBA did.

Then again, I could be wrong and the NFL just don't even give a damn.

I think it's mainly wishful thinking that things would somehow change.
