Steve Smith always held his ground no matter the odds against him from either opposing players or own team mates. We need players on this team with the same mindset to win games but within reason to avoid critical penalties.

Oh no agreed! I gues I more or less meant that we knew he was stand-offish, not always friendly and held his teammates to a high.  Idk how to explain it but I didn't assume he was also being a d*ck...when I hear that word, that's almost synonymous with bully.  Which to your point is not being a leader at all.
