The Saints are one of the best teams if not the best in managing cap space.  If they wanted teddy they would have found a way especially know brees is done and this is the last hurrah for him.

They are great at kicking the can down the road is all.... they have been at it a while now and the time will come to pay the piper when the cap drops...

Haven't we been saying this for a decade now? They're just a lot better at cap management than we are. Simple as that.

Yeah I’ve been waiting for them to finally suffer for it but it seems they always find ways around cap issues every single year.

It does get odd when Aints suddenly have a lot of money to invest in players. You can go so far restructuring player contracts but when that is all said and done where else does it come from.

Has brees retired yet? And this will very well be the first time in over 30 years the cap GOES down.

Oh, it's very possible a lot of teams will find themselves in a pickle if the cap retracts. NFL teams operate under the pride of an ever increasing salary cap.

Wow I just checked over the cap, and next season the saints are 78M OVER with just 44 under contract  and that isn't accounting for the expected covid cap drop.... Next season will be when they pay the piper! https://overthecap.com/salary-cap/new-orleans-saints/
