For the love of god, this doesn't address most of you, but I've seen a few Panthers fans in Charlotte bitching about the cold. IIRC, it'll be low 40's you pussies. When I was up north in NY, 40 degrees was a trip to the beach!

Grow a pair and support the Panthers!

That's the thing about Charlotte,it gets below 50 and most people start whining about how frigid it is outside.50f is a frigid winter game to them.I hope to make it in this game,I'm curious to see how many empty seats, how many dressed like eskimos, how many have ski masks over their faces when the temp is 42f.On the bright side,if by chance the Panthers do host a playoff game,I hope it's even colder, that way it will be easier to score tix!;)

ah hell... I remember a couple of years back up here in the NC high country, there were a couple days in a row where the wind chill was below zero... once it dropped below -25 degrees (wind chill)
This time of year,I'll make trips up to the mtns(a lot colder)and either ski or hike and when I return to work Monday in Charlotte(much warmer)it never ceases to amaze me how much bitching from the coworkers about how much they hate winter!

    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
    • Well, we got our answer on Army today.
    • Not a chance the SEC could compete with the NFL.  In the large cities that are not in the Southeast, (LA, NYC, Chicago, SF) College football is an afterthought.
