I'm a biased Darnold believer so if we are not in contention for an elite QB I 100% support a 3rd rounder for Darnold. Not against your thinking either though.

Yeah I really do. He's 8 months younger than Joe Burrow still. He just has that ability to extend plays and improvise.  With Joe Brady and our weapons he would benefit greatly.

I went to USC when he was our QB so I've watched him a lot. Admittedly that's why I am biased as well. But anyone who tries to compare him to Rosen (I watch UCLA a lot too) is just wrong. Not the same players. Rosen was never able to make throws on the run and extend plays like Sam.

Yeah I've always thought of them as Interchangeable and the same QB.

Yeah it's a common misconception. Sam also started one less season in college than Rosen and was a LB and WR for his first two years of high school. Was a really late riser as a recruit where Rosen was really polished and the consensus #1 QB in the country. Proper coaching and talent around him would do wonders.
