What Arizona Cardinals fans are saying.

To find out what cardinal fans are saying about this game I checked out their board for the scoop.

On their Isaiah Simmons vs Jeremy Chinn

Quote

If Kyler doesn't bounce back in this game, we might take a second L. Also, in this game thread you will all get to see him tilt my face off when Jeremy Chinn is making plays and Isaiah Simmons is riding the pine.

Just to be clear how badly Vance is screwing up Simmons.

Jeremy Chinn is a college safety thats 6'3" 220lb and ran a 4.45. He's an athletic freak but inferior to Simmons in every way.

Chinn has been starting at OLB in a 4-3 since game 1. A similar position and role asked of Simmons in nickel.

Simmons isn't going to get better sat on his ass. Just pick a position and play him, we ain't winning the SB this year, I'd rather take some lumps during these easier games to reap the benefits later.

Simmons is a safety, not a linebacker

And that's fine.

Because he can be a Woodson or Polamalu level strong safety. The trend in the modern game is to move guys around more like we did with Badger (as have the Chiefs) , and we will do the same with Simmons. But his base position will be SS.

The fact that Chinn is a late second rounder and out playing their top 10 pick isn't lost on them.

Honestly it sounds a lot like what we went through with Thomas Davis but in reverse. Instead of starting at SS and moving to LB Simmons is starting his career at LB and will be better off for it in the long run.

Also, I would rather have Jeremy Chinn regardless. Kid is already balling out. He is far from "inferior".

Panthers earning a little respect these days

Quote

Seriously, if they lose this game I might just lose my mind...Not because Carolina won’t be competitive because I believe they will be, but because after this disgusting lost the only acceptable result will be jack stopping the Panthers.

I think the combination of Carolina getting their first win and us experiencing an embarrassing loss bodes well for us this Sunday.

NFL fans are taking notice. All the comments up until this week have been "we will destroy them" type of takes. Now its, wait, they are a scrappy bunch we better be on our game.

I like that.

On the Panthers offense vs Cardinals defense

Quote

Let me just say that Bridgewater, DJ Moore and Robby Anderson are more than talented enough to wreck the middle of the field where we have a cluster of injuries.

True enough. The Panthers have plenty of fire power throwing the ball to cause some issues for the Cardinals this game.

Nice to see the Panthers offense striking some fear again. It is weird to see opposing fans respect our team more than some of our own.

On Teddy Bridgewater

Quote

Bridgewater looked good last week. I watched part of that game. We have top bring the rush! We need to be tighter coverage because he looked pretty accurate on his throws.

Quote

Bridgewater and Anderson scares the $hit out of me.

Bridgewater isn't a top tier QB, but he is good enough to move the ball efficiently down field and mix in the occasional deep ball to Anderson or Moore. He has proven that much.

Cardinals are banged up and on the road.

Panthers can win this game, folks.

Sometimes to hear the truth about the panthers you need to read the other team’s boards.  We will put up a fight against any opponent.

Whew, this is a hot take. Aaron Rodgers would have a field day with this back end, so would Russell Wilson, and so is Patrick Mahomes. But I digress, you do you dude.

Yeah, all those #1 picks you listed would really have a field day.

It doesn’t work that way. Any given Sunday, Chargers went even with KC, and we beat the Chargers.   If favourite always beats underdog you could be the richest man in the world right now always betting on the favourite.

It mostly works that way. Not one Wild Card team has made the Super Bowl in 7 years. To be quite frank. It does work that way, when it matters.

We only have to look at our own franchise to have seen an underdog go to the Suprbowl.  2015 preseason we were ranked in the mid to high 20's. Even throughout the season we were considered the worst undefeated team.  When we made the playoffs at 15-1 they still thought Arizona would go to the Superbowl over us.  It wasn't until after the Arizona game that the team got any respect.

Na, Carolina was ranked at 1 in Power Rankings in the middle of the year, it took a while, though. So, you're partially right.

And that was 5 years ago, and that's the start of the Preseason. Sure, that matters. But, my point was, in the Playoffs when it matters, no underdog has made it to the Super Bowl in the past 7 years. Which is just facts at this point. NFL is getting predictable when it comes to Playoff games. Sure, there are teams that are unpredictable that make the Playoffs, but those are few and far between lately.
