No, I definitely got the point. You guys can keep giving us every reason to try and believe in Teddy. He’s not the answer. His contract shows it.

So let I get this straight...

You're taking a MARTY HURNEY contract as the definitive word on a player's future worth/value/potential?

Teddy has done a good job given the pressure he has faced and little time working with the receivers. They seem to be building chemistry. He has to trust his receivers to go up and get the ball and so far, Robbie and Moore have shown some ability to do that. With time they will only get better. Especially if Okung returns as does Daley and both play well.

I don’t think Teddy sucks. I think he’s simply Teddy Placeholder. What’s his TD to INT ratio? How has he done in the red zone? Where does he rank in touchdowns amongst all NFL starting QBs this year?

Yeah, I don't think Teddy sucks. I just think he's very okay. Definitely not great. Far from terrible. Hard to call him good because he doesn't put points on the board but he doesn't kill you with turnovers either. Just okay.

When I see folks dumping on Teddy's team friendly contract, say that he will never lead a team to a postseason despite already doing so, question his ability to throw deep despite scheme & stats, or imply that we know who he is as if he was a 10yr vet rather than being in his third full year as a starter after a devastating injury I just assume that they are willfully ignorant at this this point.

It takes a special kind of stupid to be butthurt about a team friendly deal on a high character, high IQ QB that will be a pro's pro in bringing along any young talent that gets brought in.

Mad about Teddy because of what happened to Cam? Keep that energy for the Bears and all of the other teams that passed on him or shut the entire fug up pls. ♡

The best end game for TB5 (from a Panthers perspective) is that we draft a franchise QB this offseason and Teddy sits in front of him for two more years while mentoring him.  When his contract expires, we then re-sign Teddy to a backup contract and he continues to be a great backup and mentor for our franchise guy.

I don't think that's likely, but that's the best potential outcome.

I doubt Teddy would go for that. I would feel better with him as a back up then Grier or Walker. But I expect, if we don’t resign him, he will go to another QB needy team.
I think the Saints regret not signing him with all the struggles Brees has had.
