Yeah. People don’t think about this poo or they have zero empathy and outweigh their entertainment over people’s lives. fuged up country we live in.

While I agree in principle honestly the GM really doesn't have to be around the team right now and he can video conference if needed and when required.  It's not the end of civilization as we know it.

I don't discount their skill, but the sport it's horrifically boring to watch and to play. Most of the time is spent standing around fighting sleep.

It being boring part is the best part of baseball. It leaves plenty of time for day drinking in between the exciting moments.

Youngins have no patience! My son said the same thing!

Again, if you get a flashback on a nasty slider or change up, it makes a heck of a difference to watch.

If you're bored playing, then get out of right field :)

I respect the hell out of hockey, but I just can't get into it. Growing up on a diet of football and basketball I just can't get into the sports where possession is so flippant and fluid. I just can't wrap my head around the entire concept of sports like soccer and hockey. But, yeah... hockey is a real damn sport. Nothing but respect even if I'm not a fan.

That's what makes it so entertaining. Momentum can shift one direction, then the other 10 seconds later, and back again a couple seconds after that. It's a little hard to follow if you dont understand the rules, like icing, but once you do, it's a lot easier to keep track of the game. Best part is a game is usually 2 hours max so you dont end up needing half the day to go to a game.

Oh, and there's no better way to end a game than a shootout.

I had no idea you were that OLD! I'm an old fart and I wasn't even born in 1973!

1956. I ended up in the Navy in later 1973 after graduating HS early. A pretty serious knee injury cost me the scholarship in February 1973.

I think my parents were like 10 in 1973. Dibs on your stuff if you kick the can. LOL!

I still have and play a lot of old, good vinyl. You know, records. On a turntable. With a receiver and speakers. (Still have a pair of Kenwood speakers I got in Japan in '75. They weigh about 40lbs each and sound great.)

And I the last time I could dunk was in 1996 right after my 40th birthday. Don't think I could touch the rim without a step ladder today at 64.

I never could dunk, but then again I'm just a shade over 5'10". Best I could ever manage was a women's ball. I think I may could've dunked these new balls though. I can palm most of them. They're way grippier than they were 20 years ago.

Yup, it was only a matter of time.  I remember on Hard Knocks, Anthony Lynn gave his team a speech about how important it was that each player does his part by coming to work and going home and nothing else, bc everyone else's health depended on it.  Sounds like a few of the guys went out...  Selfish and it sucks.
