Meh don’t care for hockey. Neither do most people who live below the MD line. Just not my thing. Little kids seem to enjoy birthday parties at checkers games tho.

Hockey is one of those sports that is 10x better in person. The game moves so fast that it's hard to follow well on  TV. Hockey is easily IMO the most action packed, high pace, team sport there is. Our season tickets are on the glass behind the goalie so the action really is in your face.

NBA needs a hard cap, and no limits on max contracts. Teams shouldn't ever be able to have 3+ superstars on max contract, and teams with 2 superstars should have a much harder time getting depth. It's just silly to have teams like both LA teams who have done nothing to build a good team except have superstars choose their market. Miami Heat this year are a very welcome sight, but I suspect they'll come up short to LeBron/Davis super team.

There hasn't been an NBA team in the last 15 years that could hold a candle to the showtime Lakers, the Larry Bird Celtics or the bad boy Pistons. The last great team of the NBA was the Jordan Bulls. Since then it's become a joke. No defense and the superstars have their own rule book. It's unwatchable. And I grew up playing the game and was recruited by an ACC team in 1973.

As soon as this COVID thing gets resolved, we're going with season tickets to the Canes. Easily the most exciting team sport to see in person. We've been going to 5-6 games a season anyway, so we decided to just go for it..... until the COVID poo hit the fan.

Spurs are an outlier, and those early 2000s Pistons teams were pretty solid too, but I agree the golden age of basketball was late 80's early 90's. I love those bad boys Pistons teams -- Dumars, Thomas, Vinny the Microwave, Laimbeer, etc.. The sport has turned so damn soft.

I respect the hell out of hockey, but I just can't get into it. Growing up on a diet of football and basketball I just can't get into the sports where possession is so flippant and fluid. I just can't wrap my head around the entire concept of sports like soccer and hockey. But, yeah... hockey is a real damn sport. Nothing but respect even if I'm not a fan.

If I was in the area I would 100% have season tickets for the Canes, especially with the outlook of the team looking so good going forward.

I had no idea you were that OLD! I'm an old fart and I wasn't even born in 1973!
