No. But if someone on one team got it, the series they were about to play would get postponed (meaning the team they were playing who had no cases at all also had their ganes postponed). The team they had PREVIOUSLY played also had their current series postponed (meaning another team too). Almost every postponed game got replayed with the exception of like two teams who ended the regular season playing less games than everyone else. The biggest issue was pitchers, who rely on routine. Having them pitch out of their routine (even if it meant longer rest) wasn't always best.

 

So yeah, the NFL can easily reschedule a game. But multiple games will either get rid of the BYE for some teams or push the postseason back.

Oh, and get this, the NHL just finished their 2-month long playoffs in the bubbles in Toronto and Edmonton. Care to hazard a guess how many positive tests there were?

Season won't be cancelled, at most some games might be delayed and teams will have to quarantine.

CFB is playing football, in some cases, while the remainder of the school is shut down and classes are remote or virtual. That proves one thing and one thing only- use the fug out of these "student athletes" to make money. 

MLB uses expanded rosters and has the ability to call up/sign players from multiple sources.

NFL has a set roster with a finite number of players available, practice squad included. You get about 4-5 COVID-positive players on any NFL roster and you're going to have problems fielding a complete team unless the NFL and NFLPA agree to changes in salary caps, minimum salaries, undrafted/unsigned player acquisition, etc. 

This is right in some cases. But a lot still aren't, specifically in the SEC where not one campus, other than Vanderbilt is shut down. In the ACC there are only a few, in the ACC that are shut down with NC State and UNC. Believe me, being the huge CFB fan I am, I would prefer that to happen, as the contact tracing has been an utter nightmare for schools. Not one campus is shut down in the Big 12, and Notre Dame just had another outbreak on their campus after only shutting down for two weeks. 

The NFL could've done itself some favors by adding in a few extra bye weeks like CFB did. Alas, they did not do that, so therefore, if something like this were to happen they then put themselves behind the 8 ball, per say.

Have you ever played baseball?

I think you legitimately have to have played to appreciate how special they are. Otherwise everything just looks routine. But trust me, a routine grounder to the short stop is not that routine to normal folk.

There's no divisional games scheduled this week. Maybe they'll just cancel the week and give everyone a bye.

I could get a top high school pitcher to throw three pitches to Igo and I’d bet my mortgage he couldn’t hit any of them in fair

Arguing about baseball, on a football board, is about as pointless as it gets. Baseball is my favorite sport, but I'm not about to waste time in a debate about it on the Huddle.
