I don't know why you guys say build first then find a QB.

We have to Miracle into a QB if we get to the 7 to 10  game win mark.

How many miracles do you think we have left?

You take one when you have the chance then build.

Miracle into him the way KC did when it took Mahomes with the 10th pick?

Or the way Green Bay did when it took Rogers with the 20th (iirc) pick?

Or the way Seattle found Wilson in the 3rd round?

Or Brees got picked in the 2nd?

Brady in the 6th?

Also I would posit that if you look at the highly drafted qb's that did well (Rothlisberger, both Mannings, Rivers, etc etc.) vs highly drafted qb's that went nowhere (pretty much anyone drafted by the Jets, Dolphins and Browns in the past 20 years) a key and meaningful difference between the two sets would be the quality of the rosters they joined.

I think if you examine the history of the modern NFL closely, it's very possible that in the ultimate team sport, drafting a highly rated qb prospect in the first carries a high risk of wasting the pick if you then put him on a craptacular roster and expect him to magically lift the whole team by himself, as opposed to building a solid roster and then finding a quality prospect who does not necessarily have to hear his name called in the first 90 minutes of the draft.

Yes KC miracled.

Bears took Mitch miracle

We had Cam

And if I am not wrong they got that pick in a trade correct?

Yes. You have to Miracle your way to a QB from outside the top 10 thru great scouting and hoping everyone else whiffs.

We got our Miracle with Jake. I'm 51 I don't know how many of those are left in my lifetime.

I want 1 championship at least before I die.

The 3 Ls give us the best chance.

You can sit a pick for a year and continue to build around him.

teddy is here to help get the culture set and keep young guys from quitting because we threw grier or walker out there.  y'all need to realize if we get to a sb or nfc championship in the next 10 years odds are the other team will have a better qb.  they're not suddenly just making a 'mahomes' model now, or a 'russ' model now.   we went thru a spell with bad qb play besides a few in the entire nfl, and now we're in a period with some really great qb's.   they're gonna look for a guy who can process info fast, get the ball out fast and accurately, and who is easy to deal with.  he may not have a monster arm because he doesn't need that in this O.  we are gonna try and find a system qb.  they'll identify him and take him and teddy will help get him ready because he's a standup dude.  it may be this year, it may be next - but rhule isn't gonna build this team on the back of superstars with giant personalities.   this isn't hero ball like rivera had us play and about killed cam with.   i wish this staff was here when we drafted cam. things would have been a lot different
