We have a QB right now, can we stop acting like he doesn't exist?

Listen, the question isn't if we're in position to draft one of the elite rookie qb prospects, whether we should. Even Bridgewater's biggest supporters would probably advocate taking Lawrence if we have the first pick. The question is whether we have to take a qb at all costs, whether that's trading away a half dozen picks to move up to draft one or taking the 4th or 5th ranked prospect if all the top options are drafted ahead of us. If those are the options, I'd definitely rather fix other problems on our team and roll with what we have until a better opportunity to upgrade at qb comes along. And if Bridgewater suddenly morphs into a star in the interim or plays well enough to make us competitive with a better defense, who is complaining? Recall that KC built a good team first before drafting Mahomes. They waited till they were a qb away and then let him learn behind a veteran for a year. If you really want to model yourself after them, tanking this year or trading away 7 picks for Lawrence with all the holes we have isn't it.

OH yes, because a QB of Mahomes' caliber always falls to 15th pick in the 1st round.  What the Chiefs have done is an anomaly, not the blueprint.  It is almost impossible to find a franchise QB outside of the top 10 unless you're really good at finding diamonds in the rough.  Need I remind you we still have Hurney.  Would you trust him to draft a starting QB in the middle of the first round, or even anywhere outside a top 5 pick?

Just hoping we get one of the top three guys this season and we won’t have to worry about QB for a long time 

some of us are ok with teddy for now because we aren't going to win a SB this year.   we aren't going to win one next year.  we are building a foundation for the future.  when we do have a team that is really ready to compete in the playoffs he won't be the qb, we all know that - well maybe except you.     marty thinking we are always 1 or 2 players away has gotten us into this mess and we've never been able to get out of it. we are not a qb away.  not even close.   go watch the o-line film.  we're not ready for a new qb yet.   hopefully we will be in a couple years.

Yea I agree with this mostly.  I do think if Lawrence or Fields is there we gotta pick them.  I just hope the fanbase and organization can be patient enought to sit him a yeaar.

Hilarious. Fine, you guys ride with guys like Teddy and Foles. See how many more Super Bowls you get with guys like that. 
 

This is a topic that really shouldn’t even be a debate yet we have posters making statements like this. Teddy is the next Mahomes and if he isn’t, it’s okay, because once in a lifetime, players like Nick Foles will win titles
