Risers and Fallers - Panthers at Chargers

I have to give Boston some minor props that should keep him off the fallers list into solidly neutral territory. That PD in the endzone, matched up 1-on-1 at the end of the game was a thing of beauty. After seeing the Saints/Packers game last night, it's so easy for a DB to get sloppy and hand them a fresh set of downs on the one yard line after a pass interference flag. He was collected, played the ball, broke up the pass, and didn't give the ref any excuses for a flag that would have handed them the game. There's a solid argument to me made that Boston is the reason we have a W today. Again, not a riser, but I can't call a guy a faller after a game-clinching play like that.

Agreed. And it was Keenan Allen at that, one of the better receivers in this league.

Jackson seemed to play well, but again, left the field for some time after getting nicked up for the 3rd game in a row.

I don't know if he is built to handle a full season.

Slye did great.

Teddy... was serviceable. I don't know if it was the gameplan but it seemed like everything was dink and dunk aside from the one long throw to DJ. I don't know if that was all that the chargers were giving him, or he left some yards on the field. Someone would need to watch the all-22.

I like Teddy the human being but I don't know if he's the answer long term.

I also missed a good chunk of the game and didn't pay attention, but was Little in at LT at all? If so, what happened and why was Scott in at the end?

Yeah, I would rather us take the draft into our own hands, because winning meaningless games doesn't nothing for the franchise. See how we got Cam Newton in 2011. The winning now crowd has a very obtuse view of how things work in the NFL.

We got Can Newton because we were the absolute worst team in the league that season and we had nothing at Qb and a historically bad offense. We are far from the worst team in the league this season and our passing attack has been decent the last 3 weeks far from something to cry about.

Your definition of decent is a lot different than mine. Isn't Bridgewater on pace for a stellar 14 TD's? LOL.

a lot of you don't seem to understand how bad you have to be to be as bad as the panthers were in 2010

- coach on his way out who aggressively didn't care and had his next job lined up

- veteran players being told to fake injuries because it didn't matter

- A qb who could not run an nfl offense

- owner who didn't care

- 2 years of hideous drafting, without first round picks in either of them

This team is none of those things. The jets on the other hand...

Yep and alot of people on here said we wouldn't win a damn game this season. Guess what we should be 2-1 and wasn't far from 3-0. Keep dreaming for ur franchise qb though. We will win at least 5 games.

Yeah, no. No, no, no, no. We're winning 3 games tops dude. Not sure where the other 2 wins are.

Lol we will get two from the falcants finish a game. There is 3, then we will beat Washington, bears, and lions. Damn I at least count 6. I can't wait to show you this post down the road.

all about matchups.  We match up horribly w/ Atlanta right now.   I see us winning some games but we are going to get swept in the NFCS this year.

I think we get 3-5 on the year though.

I agree. Just like last year, everyone is talking about how bad the Falcons are and how the Panthers will "easily" beat them. The Panthers have ONE win against them since 2017, and even in that playoff season the Panthers needed a drop from Julio Jones in the end zone to win the game. The Falcons absolutely own the Panthers in the last 5 seasons and stupid idiot fans need to shut up about us even thinking about beating them until we actually show we can do it.

Panthers are easily the worst team in the NFC South and it's not even close. The Chargers gifted the Panthers a win yesterday and everyone acts like this team is suddenly a contender. I'm not sure what game everyone else watched, but the Chargers literally tried to lose the game at every turn, gifted the Panthers great field position multiple times, and the Panthers still barely won the game. That game should have been 42-16.

Teddy is the Qb for the Carolina Panthers who are have the 8th most passing yards  through 3 weeks.

Yes I would say that's decent and a far cry from watching Jimmy Clausen in 2010.

Little was benched in favor of Scott after the first quarter. They gave Little another shot in the third and he got benched again.

Scott wasn't exactly great, but Little was worse.

The same Chargers team who took the defending champions to the brink and KC needed a 58 yard field goal at the end to win after trailing most of the game. Now the Chargers are just horrible but the week leading up to the game it was the Chargers defense and pass rush was going to murder us.

Before the Raiders game it was the Panthers are the on the clock for the first pick in the draft and expect 2010 type results. After the game it was the Raiders are a bad team to explain away the close contest, a week later the Raiders defeat the unstoppable Saints. Crickets!

Leading up against Tampa bay  it was "omg the Panthers played well against the Raiders but they will get exposed now, tank for Trevor" and for a half 21-0 you guys got to pat yourself on the backs due to turnovers but then the Panthers kept fighting and deep in the 4th quarter that game was still in doubt against the goat Tom Brady and a good Tampa defense.

You say we're lucky to be 1-2 I say we're a bit unlucky not to be 2-1
