We are gonna be stuck with Mr. Redzone Coward aren’t we.

No we’re gonna be stuck with a serviceable QB who will buy us time to build. As others have said, if Teddy sucks, we’ll be in position to draft a QB.  Our Defense isn’t good enough to keep us in tight games week after week. Just let it play out FFS.

That's fair. My question is, do you draft a QB this coming year, or you wait until next year? Depends on where we draft right? Double edged sword, huh?

Risers      -----    Chinn         Brown       back-up  running back  (Davis & Bonnafon) ,we should be able to spell CMC

Fallers     -----    Offence  --  6 times in red zone & the only touchdown was because of a penalty on field goal

I was more upbeat about our first 2 games than this one

If we’re in the top 6 I think there’s a decent chance we take a QB, if we’re lower, we don’t gamble and we fill holes elsewhere. The season will play out as it will and our draft position will determine our first round priorities.

Yeah, I would rather us take the draft into our own hands, because winning meaningless games doesn't nothing for the franchise. See how we got Cam Newton in 2011. The winning now crowd has a very obtuse view of how things work in the NFL.

Really need to see more of Bonnafon. The dude went for 16 yards on two carries and if the OL(maybe it was their DL?) didn't trip him on his second run it really could have been 20-24+ on two runs. I'd really like to see Brady use Mike Davis and him as complimentary backs, rather than trying to do CMC with just Mike Davis.

I understand that perception, but even in 2010 I don’t believe we intentionally tanked. Just not how these players are wired. We just had John Fox at the end of his rope and worse, Jimmy Clausen and Matt Moore (although everyone forgets Clausen was actually the back up that year).

On topic, risers:  Slye, Brown, Burns

Fallers:  Manhertz, Whitehead, Shaq, Tacklers (all of them), Joe Brady

I like Brady a lot, but there was a lot yesterday that confused me and seemed conservative for his style. I hope NFL defenses aren’t shaking his confidence.

Joey “Swole Bones 2.0” Slye also had that sweet tackle on a kickoff

Faller:

The entire offense. 3 for 12 on third down, 1 TD in 5 red zone trips. Panthers were given GIFTS by the Chargers all game and still barely won. And that fell on the offense not executing. The defense did enough early in the game to win and the offense struggled to capitalize. CMC being out and the poor offensive line play did play a part but Bridgewater needs to be better as well.

I believe we intentionally did tank that year, actually. Fox was done, Peppers left, and while everyone thought Clausen was going to be decent. No one saw him being a can't miss talent (besides dumb ass Mel Kiper).

I had to edit my post because I forgot that Clausen was actually backup to Matt Moore who was injured week 1

I wonder when our first round rookie is actually gonna do something worthy of praise.

If you were watching the game, Brown was a force the entire game.  A beast.  Start watching him in relation to what his job is--when he was not doubled, he made plays.  When he was doubled, he held his ground.  If you are looking for a 30-yard pick six from him, he did not do that.
