NY, NY, Jacksonville, Miami, Denver, Philly, Detroit,  Washington---off the top of my head--are 8 teams that could easily finish below Carolina. I think it will be like last year--3 QBs in the top picks (NY Jets, Jacksonville, and Washington for one, and expect Indy to be aggressive).  Lance is a possibility, but we would have to be in the top 5 or so, IMO.

Again. Detroit just beat a damn solid Arizona team are you guys not watching the games? They should beat us pretty soundly.

I just don't see us having a top 2 pick.  To be that bad you need one side of the ball to be terrible, and the other to be average to below average.

I think our offense is going to keep us in some games and if the defense gets a turnover to two and plays well we might win a few more.  Our schedule is really easy.

Personally I think Trevor ends up in New York, I can really see one of those teams getting the top pick.

With the cancelation of his season Lance is probably more likely to fall between him and Fields.

Best case for us is hoping we can draft Lance in that 4-7 range without trading up.

4 wins last year earned you  pick #4.   Obviously changes every year but that is about where I have us.

I think Carolina has potential for a top 5 pick.  100% top 10.

So Trevor likely isn't in the cards but I think a QB most definitely is.   If we can land Fields or Lance I think we absolutely should.

I don't think that the Giants go OT nor QB unless there is a complete implosion. They've got two OTs in this last draft that they're fairly high on and while DJ has struggled I think they could help their team out a lot more by going another direction.

That is, of course, if they don't purge the current front office & coaching staff at the end of the season.

I do not see 5 wins left...

Falcons we’ll split - 1 win

Lions - 1 win

We’ll split another between Broncos and Vikes - 1 win

Thats being generous because I think realistically the Falcons will sweep The Panthers and it’s very possible they lose the Vikes and Broncos games.

Puts them at 2-14 or 3-13....4-12 at very best.

I agree that 4 wins is generous. That puts us drafting around 5-6 (using OP's numbers). We either take Lance as the consolation prize, the top MLB, or top CB. Can't lose with either. LT in the second, Little isn't getting any better yet.

In predicting wins you have to decide whether the way we are playing now continues at this level or it gets better or worse. We are not a 6 win team based on current results. But if you think that we have a higher ceiling and have only scratched the surface then we could be a real tough out at the season progresses. Like usual though it comes down to a few plays you make or miss which determines the game. We need to keep improving especially in the back 7 to stand a chance in the next several games for another W.  Right now we have lots to still fix.

Lol. Unless that 1st round DE is a talent comparable to Chase Young or said CB is the second coming of Revis. That would be the most Panthers thing to do ever and wouldn’t be the least bit surprised this franchise would do something that stupid.

And you think we are one of the bottom 5 worst teams in the nfl. Jets, Bengals, Giants, Vikings, Eagles, Texans, Broncos, Falcons? Oops my bad that's right teams with no wins, and I know we are better than a couple of the one win teams. Keep ur bellyaching for a franchise qb though since he has really cost us all the games. #notrevorncarolina!

Falcons beat us twice.

Denver plays jets so we want jets to beat Denver and Denver to beat us.

Vikings will win at least 4.

Texas win at least 4

Eagles will have late season surge

Bengals have Burrow and I don't think Giants bail on Jones yet due to his whole team being bad and both his weapons hurt.

We can be in a good spot if we lose out.

You can get a franchise guy after the top 5 picks. These are the draft positions each of the playoff quarterbacks from last year.

2nd (Wentz), 10th (Mahomes), 24th (Rodgers), 32nd (Jackson), 32nd (Brees), 62nd (Garoppolo), 75th (Wilson), 102nd (Cousins).

I'd love Lawrence, but we can still find a franchise guy even if we don't get him.

Those are all better run franchises than ours. Lets look at panther history instead. What is the best panther qb ever and where was he drafted?

Nobody wants to us to lose but you bums that want Lawrence which got showed up by Joe Burrow in the championship game. Give it a break, it ain't happy.

Haha. Oh God. He got showed up by one of the best CFB teams ever? Wow. That’s such a terrible black eye on his career. And yeah, don’t get mad Ole dude made plenty of sense when he quoted you. Sorry to tell you the real fans want us picking a top 5 game changer over winning meaningless games this year. Only here is where you see weirdo Panther fans wanting us to win meaningless games like odd balls.
