Through 3 games Jeremy Chinn looks like he could be a star.

sure. he hasn't been great but he's good enough. half the reason these guys look so mediocre is terrible linebackers missing the gaps or tackles behind scrimmage. shore up the middle of the field and those guys would look infinitely better

FS will always be shaky as long as tre boston is playing but throw a good starter or two at CB and suddenly that unit is looking real nice.

Except Tre did lock the game up for us there in the end, plus a few good plays here and there from him. I mean, I've been unimpressed by Tre so far this season, up until today.

We’re 2-3 LBs and one good CB away from having a very solid defense, imo. Part of it is still adjustment to a new DC with no off-season.

Chinn and Brown were excellent today. Shaq and Boston had what was easily their best games in forever. Hell, Whitehead even recovered a fumble

I think Tre is functional but we need some real talent at one or both S spots.

ILB, CB and a UT also could use some talent as well. Elite level player at one of those spots would be great.

You know, I could end up being totally wrong  about Chinn,  all I know is that one thing  I've noticed with real difference making players over the years is they always seem to know how to find a gear that just seems to be higher than almost every player on the field. You can see it, they just play on a higher level at a higher speed. You get a lot of those glimpses so far with Chinn... we shall see...
