You need to start wondering what you'd give up to get Lawrence

Maybe not, I just think at some point your QB has to make a play and I guess I saw a guy who was more than willing to look short to maybe avoid the chance of a sack. Last year we were somewhere in the top 5 of 50 yard plus and we added Anderson. He took one to the house but it wasn’t a Cam to Ginn 2015 bomb, it was YAC. We’ve got three deep threats, it would be nice to use them.

I just see Teddy as an Alex Smith and KC couldn’t win in the playoffs until they got their top 10 pick Mahomes. It didn’t work out as well for SF and Kaep, but both places realized Smith could only go so far and SF and KC did have quality teams around Smith. They both went to SBs after letting him go.

I don't think the verdict is out on Teddy, but you're right. This didn't strongly help his case but it certainly didn't hurt his case either.

Right now I do see us taking a QB in some way or shape to at the very least compete with Teddy next year.

Didn't he say hes healthy? Im surprised hes not the football team starter yet....

I don’t think he’s back yet. His contract is such that his money was guaranteed this year so I think they are hoping he may be tradeable at the end of the year. If they released him they save nothing and can’t get anything for him.

I agree and this is a great QB class. Just getting less hopeful we’ll get a stud because we don’t look incompetent and we won’t have the tiebreakers that are huge in setting draft position. The chance of building a great team with Marty is slim to none.

This coaching staff has been very promising so far. I'll trust whatever QB they take.

Situation matters alongside talent. Look at Tannehill now for example. Far from elite, sure, but perfect for that staff.

People sometimes forget that Tannehill was a top 10 pick, he just didn’t fare well in Miami and neither did anyone else. I think he was absolutely a case of some talent in a terrible situation.

Makes sense, his injury was horrific I'm surprised he would even want to continue playing. Also the Football team is currently first in the nfc least at 1-2.

Ugh. Right now we are in line for pick 12-14. Why is everyone so bad this year?

Exactly my point yeah. As long as we get someone the coaching staff trust they can trust and build around, I think we'll be fine.
