Bump this thread every time Bridgewater doesn't throw it into the endzone

That's fine, but that type of QB doesn't have what it takes to overcome mistakes elsewhere and their own mistakes are magnified. The Chiefs and Alex Smith are a perfect recent example, one that I watched firsthand here in KC.

With that said any team that wins requires a lot of talent, good-to-great coaching, and a healthy dose of health and luck. IMO and IME though when the QB talent level is lower the rest of the requirements are higher and that is just as hard, if not arguably harder, to do.

yeah yeah yeah i get it but settle down about the qb.  we're 2-3 years from having that kind of talent on the roster, maybe 4.

Is this the thread to do Cam/TB comparison? Hint: other than one's rushing, he's losing to the other in almost every stat. That same one has a coach who is a "tad" better, a much better defense, and a comparable offense. And only one more win. So ... is this the thread?

Cam has 3 times as many tds. Forgot that stat didnt you. Also the pats win because of Cam, we can barley win in spite of Teddy. Teddy is  a good back up or a bad starter. Oh well fits the panthers organization perfectly. :(

Teddy is learning to trust his receivers. Jake used to toss it up and let Smitty go get it. Who would Teddy have confidence in to throw it up and let his guy high point the ball and win it? Hopefully Moore after that big grab in the fourth quarter. Chemistry is being developed but it is slow. They are still installing pieces of the offense and defense. Rhule talked about installing more pressure schemes on defense and this was the first week without CMC. So the offense is a work in progress.

if you're making a jake comparison he came out of locker room at halftime against the jags and just started chucking it up to whomever

probably didn't even know the plays

True Jake was more of a game time performer but he and Smitty had chemistry and could read each other. Bridgewater doesn't have that kind of relationship with any of the guys yet which is why he won't chuck it downfield more often. That and a porous line.

yeah, I mean Teddy is a better QB than a hurt Cam.  No doubt.   Teddy does some things better than a healthy Cam.

i still maintain Teddy/Cam comparisons aren't worth it.  They are as different as two QBs could be, and this year their teams and their team's situations also couldn't be more different.  it is truly apples to oranges. and the decision to move on from Cam makes total sense, he ended 2 seasons with 2 completely different injuries, both connected to his style of play.  If i was running Carolina I still would've gone 1 more year with Cam, but I can't blame them for doing it, sped up by the reality of a new coach and system.  so might as well clean slate it.

I said ignore the rushing. Cam wil always have that. Burkhead won their game this week, not Cam.

Let it be known it was the anti-Cam and “let’s move on from talking about Cam” posters that brought Cam up. Not everyone who dislikes Teddys play wants Cam to be here (most of those posters just want Trevor), but it seems just like the “Cam fans”, those who are anti can’t move on, either.

I mean, @Brooklyn 3.0 is in every thread that mentions our former QB. Every thread. Same can honestly be said for @raz too. Yikes, and they were sooooo annoyed by the man.

Your issue should be with Joe Brady and play designs and calling rather than with Teddy but I realize most here pay zero attention to the play as a whole and assume everyone is wide open every play.

The last play before the end of the first half, terrible play design. Only two routes ending up in the end zone and Robby was the only open option. A 3rd down call in the 4th with about 11:40 left, hooks across the board with only Robby getting past the sticks but was covered.

Has Teddy ever put a team on his back and won? I haven't seen it. Cam has done it countless times.

I dunno.

But the narrative here is that somehow Cam is the reason the Patriots beat the Raiders. He isn't. They had to overcome Cam's poor play to win. Even Cam said he had a bad game.

Imagine this place if Teddy’s passing chart looked like this
