Bump this thread every time Bridgewater doesn't throw it into the endzone

I've been a Panthers fan since day one and been on this board longer than the majority of the people here.  I also have been a Cam fan since day one, and my stance on the situation has never wavered.  Csm should be here and ahould've retired here, PERIOD.

You argue that you can win with Teddy, and sure you can, but when your QB can't make plays himself while being the player that has the ball in his hands more than any other player, that margin for winning or losing is awfully small.  Cam could singlehandedly win games...  Teddy can't.  Those stalled red zone drives today?  Cam would've given us an exponentially higher chance of scoring a TD running or throwing.  Teddy isn't a threat and he doesn't scare defenses.  It's not his fault he has been put in this situation, but I'm not going to pretend to be happy for being subjected to it as a fan.

All Cam is doing is winning, no matter how he has to do it.  He put on a clinic in Seattle.  He has run and gritted out some wins in the other two games.

Teddy has played it safe every game, and even in doing so, still was the biggest reason we lost in week 2.  And it can be argued his risk aversion (combined with turnovers) is the biggest reason we lost both games so far and will lose any game under his tenure in the future.  It is an inherent weakness, along with his arm strength, and for many, it's not very enjoyable to watch.

who cares bro he's not on the team, and if you've heard any of his interviews - he's happier there.  he sounds better there, he's better suited there.  get over it.

And I'm happy for him, he deserves it.  Doesn't change that Teddy isn't a very good QB.  Get over it.

You literally stated he was “making plays with his legs.” I was stating that his production in that department saw a steep decline following the 2015 season.

That was the point in adding CMC. A safety blanket so he wouldn’t get hit so often. He’s clearly demonstrated in NE he can still run. You’re making no sense.

Either way, enough about Cam. Teddy will never be a long term answer I have no idea what more you all need to see.

His rushing attempts look more like a RB. We will see how that shakes out across 16 games.

No one is touting Teddy as the second coming. The only points I’ve made are that you don’t need an elite QB to win, and Cam’s not a panther anymore so get over it.

22-28 for 235 and a TD.

i get that you are butt hurt that we let Cam go.  But Teddy has won more in 3 games with the Panthers than Cam has won in the last 2 years

Football has monetary implications. Injury history was just not worth the risk.

I think it's a flaw in your opinion that you think "money first, football second" when it's a football competition. Absolutely it was worth keeping him for all possible reasons. Injury history is just a cop out.

But even if you focus on money, the Panthers are less valuable without him while he's playing. There'll be less prime time, national coverage of games. Stadium attendance won't be as high. Less overall coverage an interest. There's also the legacy of his career (Which has yet to play out), which Carolina could've taken advantage of.

As we've seen 3 weeks in, there's nothing wrong with him. So it makes us look more and more stupid.

Getting rid of him all for misguided speculation of future success through limited football nous.

The NFL exists to generate revenue. This isn’t flawed thinking. It’s factual.

As far as the value of the organization hinging on Cam’s presence, I’d say that thinking is a little flawed. Look at how many household names carried this franchise for the last 7-8 years. Cam was one of several and the coverage was always polarizing. CMC is the face of the franchise now and if they are winning games it won’t matter much that a less talented and less polarizing Bridgewater is under Center.
