oh no not negativity on a bad football team’s message board!!!

there was more “irrational hate” on this forum in 2015 btw lol

Which annoyed the hell out of me then as well. Check my history. Always supported Cam and said multiple times we should have kept him.

Dude compares Confederate Statues to the Great Wall of China. His takes are horribad.

If you find a quote where I remotely said anything about a wall and/or the confederate statues relating them in a sentence I will gladly leave the Huddle for an inferior site.

When you make it back after your search I’ll accept the apology.

”our franchise QB”? Did you happen to see how awful he looked today? He completed 7 passes to WR’s, that’s it. Threw into triple coverage multiple times. I remember lots of people saying Cam was done after that dreadful TNF game week 2 against Tampa last year. The same people mad at the Panthers are the same people that have little to no knowledge about the whole thing.

People seem to have a really short memory around here. Now all of a sudden apparently everyone loves Cam around here. Gee, where the hell was that the last 7 seasons.

Teddy took his shots when they were there and protected the ball. The Panthers won and if there was a pre season, they probably would’ve beat the Raiders. You can win with Teddy and that’s all that matters.

I've been a Panthers fan since day one and been on this board longer than the majority of the people here.  I also have been a Cam fan since day one, and my stance on the situation has never wavered.  Csm should be here and ahould've retired here, PERIOD.

You argue that you can win with Teddy, and sure you can, but when your QB can't make plays himself while being the player that has the ball in his hands more than any other player, that margin for winning or losing is awfully small.  Cam could singlehandedly win games...  Teddy can't.  Those stalled red zone drives today?  Cam would've given us an exponentially higher chance of scoring a TD running or throwing.  Teddy isn't a threat and he doesn't scare defenses.  It's not his fault he has been put in this situation, but I'm not going to pretend to be happy for being subjected to it as a fan.

All Cam is doing is winning, no matter how he has to do it.  He put on a clinic in Seattle.  He has run and gritted out some wins in the other two games.

Teddy has played it safe every game, and even in doing so, still was the biggest reason we lost in week 2.  And it can be argued his risk aversion (combined with turnovers) is the biggest reason we lost both games so far and will lose any game under his tenure in the future.  It is an inherent weakness, along with his arm strength, and for many, it's not very enjoyable to watch.

I’ve always supported him too but apparently stating the obvious that he wasn’t worth the money due to injury history is either racist or hating depending on who you ask around here.

They don't like Teddy because he's messing up their omg the Panthers are the worst team ever tank for Trevor narrative.

Its quite obvious he's playing smart and getting rid of the ball quickly due to pressure.

Honestly, it is as simple as him not being the type of QB that is going to win a Super Bowl. If they are not in competition to win it, then what are they doing? I thought that it was time for Cam to go the he was released, but not because I didn't like him. From what the team was saying, they thought that he was done.

Here’s Cam’s passing chart from today. You say Cam does whatever it takes to win BUT if this was Teddy’s passing chart you’d immediately say he doesn’t throw deep and he’s a game manager. Zero completions over 20 yards. Teddy was 2/2 on his 2 shots +20 yards in the air today btw. Cam had 7 completions behind the line of scrimmage.

You’ve already made your mind up on Teddy based on his 2 first seasons in the league when Minnesota was a run first team. Teddy and co. are still feeling each other out and building chemistry. Joe Brady is a first time OC in the NFL.

Teddy has the arm strength to make all the throws and that’s all that matters. He has the accuracy and awareness which more than make up for whatever unnecessary extra arm strength you say he lacks. Your problem seems to be a lot more with how you think this organization handled the Cam situation and you’re taking out some of your frustration on Bridgewater. You’re truly hoping he fails. You said that we can win with him, that’s all that matters. There are a good chunk of teams that would welcome a Teddy Bridgewater with open arms. There are only a couple elite level QB’s.

No, I'm basing my observations on watching him since Louisville, to Minny, to NY, and NO.  He has been the same guy throughout.  I attribute that passing distribution from Cam today to coaching.  They do what it takes to win.  Show me a passing chart of Teddy's that looks like Cam's from last week?  I am absolutely shocked if he attempts a pass 35+ yards in the air.  Anyone watching can see the difference.

You like Teddy.  That's cool.  As I've stated, I was a fan of Teddy's since college, but not enough of a fan that I wanted him to QB my team.  I just pulled for him to do well.  But, his brand of football is not very exciting or fun to watch, and again, the margin for error is extremely thin...  much thinner than it is for other QBs who actually attack downfield and play aggressively.

I pull for Teddy in that so as he goes the team goes, so no, I don't want him to fail.  And he seems like a good dude, always has, so again, I've always pulled for him individually for that reason. But, i don't want a conservative, checkdown artist with limited athleticism as my QB.  This is not what I wanted...  Cam should still be the QB here, is a better QB, and should have retired here.  Nothing will change my mind about that.

    • At this rate, maybe he'll be a decent 8-9 QB on his 3rd HC by year 6. Standards are so low around here now. Tepper has done some serious damage to the fan base.
