How am I being dumb about it? Lol I’m pointing out the irrational hate. I was never a “Teddy fan” however I  pretty tired of people slamming him on this board 24/7 with no apparent reason other than he can’t throw deep.

He’ll never be prime Cam and that’s OK. We still aren’t sure Cam will be prime Cam. He had a great couple of games to start the season. He looked human today. Would never wish ill on him but if he finishes the season without any nagging injuries along the way I’ll be shocked. Presence has to count for something.

Exactly.  And it is that much more frustrating knowing what a healthy Cam could do as a threat both passing and running in the red zone when the field is shortened.  

People can try to spin it any way they want, but dumping Cam for Teddy was indisputably and unjustifiably stupid.  Nothing like willingly spending more money to handicap your offense so you can dump a once in a generation talent and face of the franchise for a guy who can't throw a ball without wearing gloves.

no words for the folks who are dead set on convincing people that he is actually a capable downfield passer (despite a career’s worth of evidence suggesting otherwise)? i’ve seen this brand of selective whining before. you’re not fooling anyone. it’s not “irrational hate” to speak plainly on a player’s weaknesses. there are people here being irrational about teddy for sure but they sure as hell aren’t his critics.

Cam threw for 15 TDs in the first 8 games of 2018 before people figured out he couldn’t throw deep. Teddy has 2 TDs in 3 games.

We came one flip away from losing this game because we couldn’t complete drives for TDs. Heck, had LA not covered the snapper, we wouldn’t have gotten a TD and we could have lost on a FG instead of them needing a TD. The Chargers played like crap but they were in the game because they scored a couple TDs and we didn’t. I’m with the most interesting guy, I’m all in for a new QB because this Teddy gets us nowhere unless the rest of the team is amazing and in that case I’d rather have a stud QB and win multiple titles. Unfortunately, I think we win just enough to get a new LB which gets us to 7-8 wins in 2021.

What Cam did against Seattle last week, Teddy could never even dream of doing.  And Cam seems to be holding up just fine with a competent coaching/training staff.

”our franchise QB”? Did you happen to see how awful he looked today? He completed 7 passes to WR’s, that’s it. Threw into triple coverage multiple times. I remember lots of people saying Cam was done after that dreadful TNF game week 2 against Tampa last year. The same people mad at the Panthers are the same people that have little to no knowledge about the whole thing.

People seem to have a really short memory around here. Now all of a sudden apparently everyone loves Cam around here. Gee, where the hell was that the last 7 seasons.

Teddy took his shots when they were there and protected the ball. The Panthers won and if there was a pre season, they probably would’ve beat the Raiders. You can win with Teddy and that’s all that matters.
