Most likely teams to get the first pick

The Bengals and Dolphins would probably both trade out of that spot unless the Dolphins have found out by then that Tua isn't going to successfully come back from that injury.

Dolphins haven’t even looked that bad though, I’d be shocked if they’re picking top 5.

The #1 pick will be Trevor Lawrence. If the team drafting #1 doesn't want him, the pick will be traded.

Thank you, not sure why people have such a hard time understanding that.

If a team wants one of the top 2 QBs this year, chances are they are going to have to pick in the top 2.  Doesn't matter who the teams are at the top of the draft.

Personally, if we are picking 6th, I'm not convinced we end up with one of the top 3 QBs.  I could see all going top 5, even though the lack of a season might hurt Lance some.  I could see a team at 2 or 3 staying put for Sewell, maybe Chase, but for the most part people will be looking to trade up to get the QBs.

That's why I keep saying I'll be happy if we can get any of the top 3 without having to use draft capital to trade up.

Never underestimate the ability of Adam Gase to fail as a head coach

it’s Panthers and Jets down the stretch. Miami isn’t horrible and the bengals aren’t either

Hopefully they fire Gase mid season and the interm sneaks a couple wins.

Guys (and maybe gals):  Slow your roll.  14 games is a lot of games to lose.  Surely we will slip up and beat some teams.

Seriously--I think our best chances to win were early-before there was film on us.  Now we have advertised our degree of suckage and the weak spots in our weaknesses have been exposed.

Since we screwed the pooch on this rebuild already, my only hope is that we fall that far, grab the very best QB prospect that we can have, and let him sit a year behind 2 Gloves until we can actually build an offensive line to protect him so we don't Grigson him out of the league.

Watch for an massive meltdown and all the ridiculous whining/complaining to start when and if Panthers do manage a few wins out of number one QB pick. If that happens so be it because we have other positions that are just as important and more of a need. Just let the season play out to see where it leads us.

There is no position more important than QB and we don’t have one.

If the Bengals or Dolphins have a top 5 pick that isn’t #1, I think it’s a no brainer for either of them to use it on Sewell to protect their young prospect. Same *might* be true of Denver depending on Lock’s season.

But as a GM are you willing to risk it?

Lets say you really like Trevor and Fields (not Lance) and draft orders is:

Jets

Dolphins

Bengals

Panthers

Broncos

Are you willing to stay at 4?

On paper Dolphins and Bengals should go something like Sewell and Chase but the thought of somebody like the Broncos jumping you is legit.

Trading up for QBs can get expensive, teams tend to pay a premium.
