Greg Little could be our starting LT Sunday

Little's technique from what I've seen of him is extremely terrible. I'm hoping he has improved leaps and bounds.

When you have an awful roster and you lose your best offensive weapon and your best offensive lineman bad things are going to happen. We're going to need to throw more, but our protection will be worse. That equates to TB throwing more INTs which means we're toast. That is unless TB can just play a magnificent game throwing a lot and not throwing a pick. My money would be on him throwing at least 2 INTs. It's just what happens when you throw a lot of short/medium passes on an offense that lacks talent.

The other factor here is TB likes to hold the ball away from his body with his skinny arms when the pocket breaks down. That's open season for a man beast to swat down and pop that ball loose.

I might be remembering this wrong, but didn’t Little play pretty well his first two games, got the concussion and looked bad once he returned? Or am I remembering this wrong?

I’m concerned for Teddy, but I really want to see what we have in Little this year.

Yeah he looked very solid before he got hurt. Did rookie stuff but definitely could tell the kid could play if he kept improving. Everyone here has kind of forgotten that because they want to be right about Hurney but i don’t see why everyone wants to give up on a second round pick who’s been on the team one year, and we haven’t even watched play after being 100% from his injury. He definitely regressed after getting hurt but it’s crazy to write him off this early.

Very solid is subjective. He only played a game and a half. The first game back was a disaster against Atlanta, so hard to say he was very solid since he played so little. For instance Daley looked much better early as well. Remember how good Chris Clark looked in the first few games starting in 2018? He fell apart as well.

I’d honestly have rather saved money on Okung and figured out if Daley and Little are worth anything so to me it’s a win win. Either he shows something or he gets us to Grier and Grier gets us the top pick.

I would honestly try and keep Okung if he still wants to play. It's much better than trying to play the game of finding a new LT we have been since Gross retired. He's only 31. We could easily get 4-6 more years of good play out of him if he stays healthy. Hell, one of the best LT's in the league is still Andre Whitworth.

Definitely not easily. Yeah, there are quality 36+ year old OTs but they're far and few between. If Little's a bust and we're going QB, we should probably try to retain him but I wouldn't let Hurney negotiate that contract.

Well Little is a bust for the same reason that negotiating a long term contract with Okung is a dicey proposition. Not much we can do about that.

Let's see it. He looked decent early on last year. Let's see if he's a piece to work with for the future or not. Okung is about to be 32 and is a pending FA.

this is the efe effect. I'm not sure what Greg Little you were watching.

We definitely have the tougher schedule. They play the Dolphins twice, the Broncos, the Browns. All three of those teams are likely contending for top 5 picks.

Dolphins are up 14 on the Jags,  just recovered a fumble at the 5 yard line and Jags tackle Cam Robinson got ejected for contact with an official.

All jokes aside, that is probably the worst news imaginable if Okung is out. The bright spot on that line this season has been Okung and Moton. Little versus their DE's is a fuging recipe for disaster. If that change happens, I'd say the chances of us winning that game plummet from what they were.

Folks saying he wasn't bad last year must not have remembered watching him flail about on pass sets and running into Daley while run blocking.

But he's on a rookie deal, so that makes it ok I guess?

Hurney Syndrome. It's where you've been beaten down by poor draft choices so much that you can no longer recognize a bust anymore.
