Can we call these threads the 'Powerless Rankings' this year? You know, spice it up and have some fun with this poo sandwich of a year?

I don't know where we are picking, I just know we are contenders for the 1st pick and will be in the running for a chunk of this year. We will see if we can squeeze out a few wins along the way...or not.

I can update everyone on how long my hair is getting these days. Would that be preferable?

Gotta hope teams like Cincy, Miami and the NYG are the ones that rise above us. Couldn't imagine Cincy or MIA going QB two years in a row. Now the NYG would be a wildcard with Jones, but pretty sure they would pass as well.

Too many franchise cornerstone prospects in this draft class that are also non-QBs.

Most have us between 23 and 31 in their power rankings. I believe Football Outsiders has us with a 16.5% chance to pick number 1(highest among NFL teams). FiveThirtyEight has us as an underdog in every game except for two(Denver and Detroit).

Seems like the pundits like us more than the stats nerds after two games.

Going by the stat nerds in week 2 is like the college basketball fans getting worked up about the +/- numbers for 5 man combos that have played 5 total minutes of actual basketball together all season long. Yeah, I mean I get it, when your 3 rotational backups are in with those 2 walk ons, we did absolutely kill it, already up 30 across three different games on teams that looked like they just learned to dribble, but I'm not sure that holds up the way the stats say it does in a game against Duke, UNC, Kansas, Virginia, etc.

Doesn’t matter, any of those teams would trade out of the pick if they don’t need a QB. Value is insane this draft. We pretty much have to get a top 3 pick or bust.

Not a great 1:1 comparison since the Elo and FO's projections are a bit different than Kenpom, NET, etc. Even subjective Power Rankings are kind of hokey at this early of a stage, though. So I get what you are saying.

ESPN did one yesterday. Only teams above us now according to their FPI is the Jets and Giants, I do believe.
