I asked: "Is a team that utilizes a prevent defense before a half in a tie game ... in garbage time"?

Your response:

No.

You went on to talk about preventing scores etc as being the meaningful part of garbage time, which is not about coverage.  All of this originated because you insist on the coverage as indicating garbage time.

So again I ask: If coverage is the defining feature of garbage time, is it not garbage time if a defense runs a base defense up 3 scores with a couple minutes left?  If coverage is the defining feature, was it garbage time whenever TB rushed 5 on the last 2 drives?

Can we say he's trolling? I mean, to post this useless stats is trolling. To say we need to tank for Trevor is not trolling, it's realistic. To say the team isn't good, is not trolling it's realistic. To hope for losses so you can get a top pick, well, the top pick. Is not trolling, that's being the best fan of a team that's rebuliding/flat out sucks you can be.

I'd say not so much trolling as putting out discussion points. He does this every morning or every other morning around 6-7 AM.

Yea. This isn’t even about Teddy. All QBs get some.

fwiw we just disagree on the technical point of when garbage time starts. I agree that all QBs get plenty of garbage time yards, lol.  yards are largely meaningless anyway for any real indicator of anything

For sure. Teddy will probably rack up stats because our D is trash, we have some offensive skill weapons and we'll likely be down a lot in games this year. That is a recipe for racking up yardage. That's something I said in the Tampa post game discussion, I fully expect him to shatter his personal best in passing yardage for a season(I do realize that is a low bar).

It's crazy how much these conversations get derailed by semantics. It's as if people who have watched a lot of football just can't accept that when teams are leading on the scoreboard late in the game or have a lead they know is basically insurmountable without allowing quick scores, they play softer defense that willingly allows yards to be gained (and clock to run) but doesn't allow for quick scores. Holy poo. What a crazy novel concept.

No. That he was a back-end starter. Is he not?

I feel he is middle of the pack starter.  But thats not the part of the comment I was referring to. I dont get why people feel the need to trash Teddy, especially when it's the same people who want the team to play bad anyway to get Lawrence

I mean, that was Rivera's staple for 9 damn years. I would hope people would know about it.
