There is no reason to be actively anti-Teddy. He didn't sign himself to this contract. He's just going out and doing the best that he can.

He is who we thought he was and that's fine. He isn't going to destroy the franchise any more than he is going to lead us to the playoffs. He's the solution they decided they needed for now, whether we like it or not.

Just pointing out to Jeremy that you can cherry pick any stat to make a point.  He is 0-2,  avg qb rating, last in TD's but hey he is top 5 in passing yards.

So you didnt make up that question and you didn’t only quote one word of my response. Why the edit? Why didn’t you post the real post of yours. You’re scum. You know what you did. Do you really think I would give a poo about any opinion you ever have. You only thing you have shown is the ability to suddenly change your mind and call it sarcasm. What a POS.

I legit have no idea what you are even talking about here.   I edited in an emoji into the original post because you interpreted my line about applying garbage time as serious when it was sarcasm (and, was blanketed by my actual stance).  I've also apologized for my sarcasm goign undetected. Go compare.  This is a screenshot of your post

This is where you admit that it isn't about coverages, but the score.  I cropped out your other sentences, because just like you cropped out 4 of the 5 sentences in the quote of my post you made up above, it was irrelevant to the point.  The point is garbage time is not about a specific type of defense or coverage - they may be typically employed in them, but it is more about the game situation.

That’s exactly what I posted. Word for word two pages back. What one word of yours did I leave out. Or make up? It’s exactly the same and once again you’re full of poo. So why again did you edit the other one if you didn’t have to here? Why leave out your question and my answer? Wouldn’t have anything to do with you making poo up and you got caught.

And I described a specific situation of a scenario that has nothing to do with the 2nd half or garbage time. And I explained exactly why. But you just said(instead of posting where you did) you asked about prevent defenses. Why not just post what you asked? And my whole answer. You had no problem now did you?

We are clearly confused.  You posted one sentence of mine. I posted one of yours. Both of us left out context from the rest of the post.  Doesn't seem like a big deal to me.  It happens in replies because we don't always have time or interest to repost entire comments from each other.  The point is you did say what I summarized as 'no, what matters to being garbage time is the (relative) score', when I prompted you about defenses/coverages whatever. I don't even know what you mean by "edit the other one." or make up words.

My entire point all along has been that coverage is not what defines garbage time.  Do you agree with that? Or are you going to keep accusing me of editing your posts or whatever.

CMC was taking all his TDs! Teddy is about to light up the Chargers, I can feel it.

Well, if he does, that'll be a nice and promising sign for him.  Teddy is taking just as much advantage of CMC as a pass-catcher.  He's going to need to improve his ball placement next game, and find a way to get vertical earlier in the game (which he actually did an OK job of vs LV)

Robby Anderson is quietly having a good start to the season.  Top ten in the league in receptions.  Top 5 in receiving yards.

He's made plays throughout the game.  Enjoyable to watch him play.  Moore looks like he may be coming on, too.  I could see this offense putting up a lot of points (and yes, passing yards, lol).

Btw, if you feel I factually misrepresented your posts / somehow edited or changes your words, I am sorry. I honestly was tryng to highlight that we were going around in circles and ultimately you had already stated that the defensive scheme/coverage was not the definition of garbage time. I was a bit of a dick about it, but I wasn't trying to edit your words etc.  I'm bored and don't have a ton else to do right this minute.

Edit: ahh. I see. So when I said 2 minute defense I meant a prevent defense.  So I did misspeak there. I had thought you knew what I meant from your response, too.  If your answer is that in that situation using a prevent defense triggers garbage time, well...... okay.

1. Luck made the playoffs 4 out of 6 years.  His franchise failed him in protecting him.  (sounds familiar).  Andrew Luck was an above average qb which is the floor for Trevor

2. Fair enough.  I just dont think so.  Would you rather have teddy or draft Trevor/Fields/Lance if the situation arose?

Luck was in a division when Tennessee and the Jaguars were terrible and Houston was rolling the likes of Ryan Mallet out at Qb.

If playoff is the standard Teddy led the Vikings to the playoff his 2nd season in the league before the gruesome injury who know what trajectory his career was heading.

No. Both of us didn’t. Where is the post that I left anything out? Where? You keep referencing them but they don’t exist evidently.

And you’re still trying to lie your way out of this. You posted one word of my response to your made up BS. Again, quit lying.

    • Excluding Carter, I think I can quickly sum up the conundrum at EDGE.  1. Promising Prospect with Major Wrinkles Jalon Walker - Size/Down-to-Down Position (ILB v. OLB) James Pearce - Reported issues in the locker room & beyond (one source) (another - Per C. Kinnan) Mike Green - SA Allegations/UVA Dismissal 2. Biggies lacking Pass Rush Skills (High Ceiling/Development types) There's the guys who test well, but don't have the tape and aren't the best pass rushers.  This is often a bust prototype with some success stories every now and again.  This includes: Shemar Stewart Mykel Williams 3. Donavon Ezeiruaku Best EDGE in college this season, has the length/span of a 6'5 guy - came in a hair under 6'3 247 (Bigger than Walker), better run defense chops than given credit for (83.6), & tested incredibly well.  So tape and testing both big fat green checks. Sooo with this said, this is where I say: Don't be shocked if we don't end up with an pass rusher (or) you hate our first round selection.  Walker is the least bust-able of the bunch here, but his impact may not be as big as you'd want year 1.  Bottom line is I hope we go BPA, think this kind of shows why it could be smart (But I do love Donovan). I just look at Nic Scourton, JT Tuimoloau, Jack Sawyer, Princely, Elijah Roberts, Powell-Ryland, Savion Jones...there are guys with just as much upside we can land later.  I just don't see the value when Mason Graham, Tyler Warren, Will Johnson, or heck, even Colston Loveland could be available. I don't see the value in getting a Stewart or Mykel over them. But also, don't sleep on Ezeiruaku.  And while I'm at it- Derrick Harmon if we're looking at the DE 3-4, especially if we trade down.  Out of all of these prospects, those are the two that if you just think back through the college season, they terrorized offensive lines and got it done.  Long story short- offseason can distort.
