Would Trading Shaq to Seahawks Be An Option?

As far as his contact being untradeable, are you guys factoring in the fact that we are responsible for his entire signing bonus? Whichever team trades for Shaq essentially gets him at 4 years, $40 million, completely unguaranteed. Not a bargain but a reasonable price for a starting linebacker especially if you think you can get more out of him in your scheme with better players around him. Not sure it makes much sense for the Panthers since we probably can't expect more than a late round pick, would be stuck with about $13 million in dead cap spread out over this year and next, and be even thinner at possibly our weakest position. But no I don't think it's crazy to think a team in contention would entertain a 5th or 6th at least, knowing it'll be at the end of the round to boot.

Fair feedback all around and agree that his contract is an albatross. Just thought that a team in win now mode might figure out a way to work the cap if they thought Shaq was important enough.

To those that thought I just googled Shaq's college and that he would come here, it's more than that. I currently live in Seattle and listening to sports radio, they are pretty bummed about losing both LBs this past weekend.

Give Shaq a minute to learn Snow’s system. I mean he had over 10 total tackles in game one and is playing next to Whitehead instead of Luke. I think Shaq is fine and we will see him get even better as the year progresses. If teams start dumping players adjusting to new systems Brady and Gronk need to be traded...

If you need a great LB to be good, you aren't a good LB. Learning a system isn't what Shaq is struggling at, he's struggling in coverage(something we literally drafted him to do) and he's struggling in maintaining gaps. Those are things he shouldn't be struggling with.

Just stating it’s a big difference after playing next to Luke who was calling out every play and the offense was trying to avoid vs Whitehead who is a backup MLB at best.  It’s just an adjustment he will make and didn’t look horrible in game 1 already.
