Turns out the Raiders and bucs are kinda good.

Raiders are probably a fringe playoff team. Bucs might start gelling as the season goes on although I think the Bucs should be concerned about Brady’s lack of arm strength. BA needs to put Brady in the right positions. It’s very early in the season and without a real offseason and Covid stuff we don’t really know how teams outside of the talented, cohesive ones like the chiefs and ravens are gonna be. I always say first couple games are a toss up with some teams trying to figure out their identity and get into a groove. It’s why I think people need to pump the breaks about us getting the #1 pick. We certainly are gonna be worse with cmc on the shelf for a bunch of weeks and we are not a good team but I wouldn’t be surprised to see us win some games that take us out of the running for that top pick

LOL @ the Saints. I don't know if this is the year they fall off of the cliff but I wouldn't be surprised if they turn it around. It's still early in the season folks.

As far as the Panthers are concerned, I'm not propping them up but allowing them to prop themselves up. Some good, some bad and way too much ugly. Yep it's early but this year is still looking like a marathon in patience. Let's see what the team looks like this week missing our only great player. I think that's a great test for the rest of the roster. I hope they can make the most of it.

This has been the best part of 2020 Panthers football. It's a huge positive of the new staff and the reason I think the team will improve throughout the year. Actual adjustments, what a game changer.

They're about to be in salary cap hell next year. So, we'll see. The Panthers picked the right year to rebuild, if we're totally honest. A chance at a Franchise QB in the Draft, and Brees and Brady will both retire within the next two years. I had a dumb ass try to explain to me how the Saints would be fine, because Winston is good.

That's the sales pitch but the reality is they have a competent GM and keep being competitive. Until that changes I'm not holding my breath. No matter how the cap looks, they keep putting a better team out on the field. I hate it but I'm not going to pretend that isn't what's been happening.

Rebuilding with Hunrey gives me no confidence we will be building well. His track record speaks for itself. If we had another GM I would be all in on a rebuild or retool or realignment or whatever. As it stands, we are watching our coaches and owner learn the inevitable, which is they have a bum GM and as long as he is the experience in the room we are fugged.

I would take the Saints cap issues if I could trade our GM for theirs.

Hurney 1.0's decisions led the Panthers to the 1st pick in the 2011 draft. Hurney 2.0's decisions seem well poised to once again lead the Panthers to a top 5 pick.

In all seriousness, this is the first time Gruden has faced the NFC South since he got back into coaching and I have to think he brought out his best stuff to beat the Saints especially. When he plays the Bucs I bet the Raiders play another great game.

Wouldnt you want to bring out your best stuff to beat your opponent every week?

Dude hasn't put a winning team together since he came back. In fact, it's been worse every year and this year looks to continue that trend. He is a magnate for suck.

Oh you can guarantee Hurney will regularly have this team picking in the top 5.  It's the only thing he is good at.  I tried to warn you folks when that fool weaseled his way back in the building.  But NO, he's killing it they say.  Hurney 2.0 is the greatest they said.   Idiots.

Regularly picking in the top 6 is what Gettleman 2.0 is actually doing.

What does that have to do with the Panthers?  Gettlemen is not our GM.  When he was and even as bad as he was this team had a better record in his short time here than Hurney has managed in almost 15 years of running this team.  How does that make him any better than nippleshorts?  I wasn't even comparing the two in the first place but since you went there I would love to hear your logic behind that.
