I expect them to take a dive? Will Grier is not a slouch. If you drafted a QB in the third round, then you need to find out with what you have. If you do it this way none of the players would even feel that are not trying to win. They would still all play hard and achieve exactly what they’re supposed to achieve.

We found out what he have, he's awful. If you started Will Grier, all of the players would know they aren't going to win and they will also know that they don't have a chance. Teddy does legitimately give us a chance. Perhaps not a great chance but we've been down to the wire in two straight games with what could end up being pretty good opponents.

Everyone would be the best they can be and if the fact of all this is that they’re not a good team, or if they are one of the worst teams, then that happened naturally.

Btw, I am not arguing with you I and I totally agree with you.

I'm not saying I agreed with the Teddy move but I do understand a little bit more why they made that decision. We are tracking towards being a 0-4 win team, so all the "Tank 4 Trevor" crowd will be happy and hopefully we at least have a full idea of what portions of this roster are salvageable and what portions aren't.

It is very clear as to what the Panthers are trying to do. They are banking on the fact that Brees and Brady will retire this year, or the next, and then they can compete only with the Falcons for the division title. They’re thinking that they could regularly beat the Falcons and then hopefully beat them one, two, or three years for the title. They’re not building a team to consistently win the Super Bowl, but to win the division and make the playoffs for a couple of years. Maybe they get lucky once or twice in stumble their way into the Super Bowl.

I can’t say that I agree with this model for success as it’s gonna be a lot of ugly football and not resembling anything that we are been used to with Cam. It won’t gain great fan interest, but I guess it means that if they win people follow team.  I think that it will have a lack of passion that was there when Cam Newton was the QB.

Personally I think that they should go ahead and try to get a franchise quarterback and build for ten years of success rather than just two. This just reeks of Marty Hurney as it fits his M.O.

Falcons are due to clean house as well.  How many consequitive 7-9 seasons are they willing to take?   I do have to admit that our QB is not playoff ready, maybe we can work around it or even better give PJ Walker a shot.

If PJ Walker couldn't win an outright battle with Will Grier, I think we can safely say that PJ Walker isn't ready for this stage. I haven't seen anything that says that Teddy should be benched, even with those boneheaded turnovers against Tampa.

Now if we are sitting in week 5 and he is still at 1-2 passing TD's, I might change my story.
