Well I'm glad it's not just me who thinks Whitehead is the worst linebacker in the league.

Tough to try to rely on a 2 down thumper who's not even that great at that in today's passing environment... To go from arguably the best all time coverage LB in Luke to this guy has to be the biggest downgrade in the history of sports.

Think when we went from McDermott to Wilks then to fuging Washington. A lot of the same players were on each defense but the entire unit just fell off a cliff.

Calling the right plays to make sure guys are in the right position kind of makes a huge difference in the NFL. Also it’s the D coordinators job to teach the basics and fundamentals to a defense filled with young guys and rookies.

Bad coaching has the potential to ruin young players careers.

Very true. Snow could be a problem. Talent is as well. Let’s be honest we knew that our LB and secondary were likely bottom of the league and it’s played out that way. It’s not like we went from a top 10 D to today. Not defending snow but we were 31st in points against last year and while some additions by subtraction we lost some talent and lost Bradberry and Luke. It’s not surprising to see Mike Evans have his best game against us in 3 years.

It could easily be a combination of a mediocre DC and not enough talent.

Well we knew coming into this season that this was going to likely be the least talented Carolina Panthers roster to ever be assembled. It is definitely living up to that prediction.

My money is on Snow just not being up to snuff.

Outside of Rasul, none of our other guys on D have had great coaching while in the league.

We also have 40% rookies starting so mistakes can compound which makes everyone look bad.

Ever stop to think that maybe Phil Snow just sucks? Guys on this team can’t even fuging tackle.

Are we seriously judging a brand new coordinator, overseeing a defense that has started four rookies, after an offseason of no interaction with his players, accompanied by an abbreviated camp and a cancellation of preseason?

Is that seriously what we are doing after week 2?

Hey Igo, May be time to burn this place to the ground and rebuild.

Go back and read the rest of what I have posted in this thread. The defense is struggling with basic fundamentals which is very worrisome considering we spent an entire draft on defense. Our 7th pick DT looks fuging lost on the field, guys can't tackle and are constantly out of position, etc. The defense doesn't even have a fuging sack recorded yet and we have multiple 1st and second round picks on the D line.

Coaches need to plan and scheme based on their personnel and so far it looks like Snow has been trying to shove a round peg into a square hole. Just stupid things that even the average fan can see like wtf is Tahir a captain and starting? Chinn should be a full time safety. This kind of stuff can severely stunt the growth of our entire draft class.

There is a reason McDermott is still a head coach and Wilks and Washington are either without jobs or back to being position coaches. The panthers defense never recovered from losing McDermott even though Ron Rivera was supposed to be some defensive mastermind.

Our first two picks lol omg....obviously way too early to judge the rookies but Hurney looking like Hurney thus far. They had no pre season and I get it but still literally being the worst or right at worst not what you want from your top 7 picks in the rounds.

Yet actually saying that undeniable truth, made this place lose their minds.
