The best defensive player came off waivers...good lord.

ill give brown rookie benefit and burns sophomore slump

Chinn has shown flashes

other than those 4, we need a serious restart

Burns? According to them he is the 17th best DE/EDGE in the NFL through two weeks. I'd say that is pretty good.

Ever stop to think that maybe Phil Snow just sucks? Guys on this team can’t even fuging tackle.

I've thought about that many times during the past two games. Snow is a retirement age journeyman coach who has never had success at the NFL level seems like a failure of a hire. He is 64 years old and had never coached anything more than the linebacker position at the NFL level, for the 0-16 2008 Lions of all teams.

#31 in the league with 15 missed tackles through 2 games, so you aren't wrong.

Think when we went from McDermott to Wilks then to fuging Washington. A lot of the same players were on each defense but the entire unit just fell off a cliff.

Calling the right plays to make sure guys are in the right position kind of makes a huge difference in the NFL. Also it’s the D coordinators job to teach the basics and fundamentals to a defense filled with young guys and rookies.

Bad coaching has the potential to ruin young players careers.

I was watching the game with the in-laws and the most recurring comment was that our defense was getting man handled and pushed around.  Play calling and schemes not too bad.  Just need to sack up and push back.

That has a lot to do with fundamentals like footwork and hands on the D line that right now our coach isn’t teaching properly to our first rounder DT who looks fuging lost out there.

And we also got a lot less "learning" time with the young guys this offseason. I did say prior to the season that COVID would probably hurt younger teams and teams with less continuity the most. I am interested to see if that bears out at the end of the year.
