I just haven't seen much stuff like this from Trevor. That's straight Russell Wilson bullshit that drives you crazy. You did everything right on that play. It should've been a sack. Maybe a safety. And somehow he still Burns you for a big one.

In fairness, that missed tackle isn't as likely in the NFL or is that pass likely to not be picked off. I haven't seen him make any of those throws in Cincy yet, although is scrambling ability has been on display.

We will see how he fares.

I don't know, Chip Kelly got hired back then. Also, that CFL offensive guy in Chicago, forget his name. But teams did still take a chance on gimmicky offensive coaches even nearly a decade ago

Kingsbury with just always be a head scratcher for me. I mean, the guy had literally just been fired from Texas A&M. Fired from TAMU to NFL head coach in a matter of months. Wow. Evidently they WE'RE THAT sold on Kyler Murray. Hell, props to them. They identified their QB and went all in on building the best situation for him to develop.

Herbert looked good yesterday---he was the third qb taken.

Let's not crown him just yet. I was impressed but I'm still not sold on Herbert long-term. Then again, I said when I was offering my critiques if him that there was no way for me to know if the limitations I saw in his game at Oregon were true limitations or simply due to offensive design. We'll see.

Man I mean this in the nicest was possible... but you’re so wrong. What makes you think that?

How long is the list of superstar 'great NFL prospect' college QB's that bust or are consistently mediocre in the NFL?  Pretty damn long, much longer than the list of superstar college QB's that continue into NFL superstars

'But Trevor is different!' ....yeah, so was every other QB picked in the top 3

I'm a huge clemson guy and love watching Trevor, but I wouldn't be shocked at all to see him turn into Baker or Darnold

Let's say we like Lance, not Fields, and pick second.  Lawrence goes first.  A team that picks fourth wants Fields and gives us a second to move back---then we could package both of our seconds, move back up into the first, and grab a MLB, CB, S, or LT, for example.

Furthermore, I am not sure that the team would move on from Bridgewater if Lawrence is not there.  Very early to be writing off Bridgewater.

I was surprised, frankly.   He sure handled the Chiefs effectively save a play or two.

He's way more physically gifted than Baker(also not a gunslinger like Baker is) and I don't think he suffers from the psychological deficiencies that Darnold does.

However, I just don't know that he has the "killer instinct" to be a GREAT QB in the NFL. That is my one big knock on Lawrence.

I wouldn't risk it. IMO, if you need a franchise QB and you think there's a franchise QB on the board you sit there and take him and don't risk getting cute.

Bridgewater's contract was literally designed to be "written" off. We save money if we cut him next year and save almost his 2022 contract value if we cut him that year.

Make no mistake, the Panthers will draft a QB if they have a top 5 pick.

Also, please never fuging mention trading two seconds to get back into the first again. Ever. Google "Carolina Panthers Draft Pick History" for reasons why.

I'm with you. Time will tell, and hopefully he proves us wrong
