Yeah, I mean that is obviously pretty weird and a little creepy but if the players are into it, then whatever. Unless the athletes there have a problem, that legal challenge was a bunch of nonsense. I am quite sure it is as bad as that or worse at any number of the religious or bible colleges across the country.

If that kind of thing attracts you as a recruit/player/coach, etc, I don't see anything wrong with it. It sounds pretty pushy and annoying but I'm also not there experiencing it to decide if it would even bother me as an atheist.

I also don't see his ex-players picking and choosing their NFL teams based on any goofy religious principles.

Good articles, though. I was actually completely unaware they had that sort of atmosphere down there. I have worked in that area quite a bit, so it doesn't really surprise me that much. They do have a lot of backwards people down there.

Backwards people?

Goofy religious principles?

Yeah I bet your a big hit “down there”.

My issue with Lawrence and Fields is how good are they when their skill position players are all 5 star recruits. What I liked about Burrow and Tua is that they took teams that were typically mediocre in the passing game (Alabama and LSU) and transformed them with their arm talent and creativity. I say this because the best QBs in the NFL today typically did not come from schools where they were pre season No. 5 or better every year, they had to elevate the players around them.

I would take Lawrence no.1 because I agree that he is the safest prospect and checks all the boxes in terms of height, speed, and accuracy. However, I don't believe he will change our offense over night. This team is about 2-3 years away from competing.

Tua had 4 first round draft picks playing receiver. Jeudy and Ruggs were 1st rounders this year, Smith and Waddle will be next year. Burrow had the best receiver in college last year who will be a top 5 pick next year in Chase. Burrow also had Jefferson who was tremendous and a first round pick this year. Marshall is also very good and underrated, probably a second rounder next year and Clyde-Helaire was the CMC of college football receiving from the backfield and a first rounder this year.. What I am saying is, yes Trevor had play makers, but Burrow and Tua actually had better play makers than Trevor.

Let's get Trevor and turn him loose in this Joe Brady offense!
