i'm saying i take more away from a game against an opponent with more NFL-level talent like LSU than I do 10+ against the likes of Wake Forest, Virginia, Duke, UNC, other ACC cupcakes...

Yes because all those SEC QB's are really tearing it up in the NFL right now.

vs Bama - 7 points off a pick 6 and 3 TDs from Etienne. Lawrence had a good game for sure but Bama was only in it for the first quarter before it was clear they were the weaker team.

vs OSU - Higgins wasn't out for the game either, he came back and played a role along with the other weapons I mentioned. difference in that game were the 2 big INTs by the Clemson defense

vs OSU - Higgins was hurt on the first pass of the game.  He went to the locker room for the entire first half .  Attempted to play hurt in the 2nd half and it showed.  He was essentially taken out by OSU on that first play.

Turning point and difference in that game was OSU defense had no answer for Lawerence inserting himself into the run game that OSU has complete eliminated.    Running right at best D in the nation.  16 carries for over 100+  yards.

You are going to great lengths to short change Trevor

vs Bama.  Bama answered instantly to the pick 6 with the homerun TD by Tua.

in the first half Trevor threw for 200 yards.   Was virtually flawless.  Those drives might of been capped of by Etienne in the end end zone but all those drives were put together on Trevor’s arm vs the mighty Bama D.   Same happened in the 3rd when he put the nail in a game he already had wrapped up.

lol.  You trying to paint a narrative he was just handing off and letting the D work.

Trevor is a bad dude.   Maybe he pans out as a super stud in the NFL. Maybe he doesn’t.  But as a college QB? He is about as good as it gets.   Silly to say otherwise.   He has chance to enter the NFL with one of the greatest resumes of all time if this season plays out.

He missed throws vs LSU and had a bad game.  Plays he always makes were there and he didn’t make them.  Simple as that.    Happens to everyone.  No exceptions to that fact.  Your pinning everything onto that one game that clearly runs counter to everything he has done and shown.  It wasn’t the big stage.   Been there repeatedly.  Wasn’t the opposing D.  He had faced bigger and badder.  Just a bad day.

Two of the best QB's in the NFL right now are legit from the Big 12 of all Conferences in Kyler Murray and Patrick Mahomes. Looking at competition in College from the QB position is nonsense.

Current starting QB breakdown in the NFL(only taking into account the last school the player attended and also the CURRENT conference the school is in)

Big Ten: 5
ACC: 8
Non-P5: 6
SEC: 6
Pac-12: 5
Big 12: 3

I don’t follow college ball until draft season. But since draft season seems to be coming early for us this year, I just watched a few YouTube videos on Lawrence. Color me impressed. All aboard #tankfortrevor.

If you actually pay attention to his passes and decisions, who he’s playing against doesn’t really matter. He has excellent placement on his passes, a great deep ball, good decisions, mobility, I couldn’t find a flaw in my limited viewings. I’ll research more when there’s more videos of this year on him, but for now I’m firmly team Trevor.

The only criticism you can find in Trey Lance's game is who he was playing against. Ironically, Lawrence didn't look so unbeatable when he played against LSU. But, anyway, Lance went undefeated, threw for something like 2800 yards and had something like 1100 on the ground. Be also didn't throw a single interception. Not one! That's fuging amazing!
