In which I stay positive and the Panthers haters rage

A rocky start followed by effective adjustments (wtf are adjustments?) and comebacks making the games interesting well into the 4th quarter. The Panthers adjusted and went with primarily a three man rush while dropping OLBs in coverage and you know what? It worked. Tom Brady went just 6-of-12 in the second half for 19 yards. That in itself is pretty damn impressive.

Ya... in reality though it’s not that we made adjustments that worked. It’s just that his receivers decided they weren’t going to catch anything except that one guy who tried to catch with his helmet. Doink.

Because receivers never drop balls historically so let's keep that as the standard.

and some of those penalties you mentioned jeremy - that kept them in the game - were completely phantom penalties.  there were a couple drives we had to stop 2 and 3 times because of those crap calls - which it didn't look like we got any.   if you're gonna call that PI on us, you gotta make that call both ways.  if you can't hand fight you can't hand fight, i'm fine with that.  but 1 team being able to hand fight and the other not is crap.

besides that we made adjustments and that happiness is like being able to see a brand new beautiful color.  its something i haven't seen. i'm so stoked about it all this crap people are spewing is just stupid noise right now.

Pretty much this. Even when we got the PI call in the endzone the announcer said "im not too sure about that call the guy is in a bucs jersey shouldnt be any flags on them".

In all seriousness though we all knew this was a get right game for the bucs no way the NFL was going to let us spoil that,

If you can't see the positive, you aren't looking. And if you don't like many of our new personnel changes you are letting your biases control your thinking.

Chinn is everything we hoped he would be. Douglas has been a big surprise. Okung seems like the better trade given that Turner is hurt.  Anderson has been a great pickup.

The comebacks in both weeks are great indications that as soon as the defense improves we will have the capacity to not just compete but to win games. The adjustments are encouraging signs that we have good coaches who can develop effective strategies to keep up with the new NFL.

Sure we won't win many this year but if you just see the final score and not see what is going on behind the scenes you are missing out on the best parts of the season.

The bottom line is this team has lost 10 games in a row and the end is no where in sight so for me it’s really hard to be positive until we see some wins. The Raiders and Bucs were both very beatable teams. The schedule is going to get even harder now. Tough game next week against a Chargers team that barely lost to the reigning champs with a rookie QB who is actually able to throw the ball down the field more than 20 yards. I don’t like our chances.

However you have to rationalize staying positive I guess.....More power to you. Signing Bridgewater to a huge deal definitely reflects that this team intended to win this season so I’ve been disappointed with his performances so far and I hope he turns it around. To me he has been a little bit better than Kyle Allen at 20x the price tag.

Embrace the suck. Losing is the new winning. When you fully embrace the concept that losing on the scoreboard this year is the best way to win in the future this process gets a lot easier. This year, I'm just looking for growth as a team, a coaching staff that can adapt and make adjustments, young talent coming into their own, etc. The wins won't be there but they can't be for us to get to where we need to be.

It would be remiss to not have some positivity, There was no pre season limited live reps.. Our WR are great. Although I don't expect it to be great I do think the interior o line will gel and when it does that will result in those Ws.

dude, you are so stuck on saying 20mil/yr is a huge contract.  that is so 2013.   20mil/yr ain't shite for a qb.   no matter how you fit that into every post you make its never gonna be true

I hear you....but this is a really sad mentality. Would you tell Browns fans to embrace the suck? I want the team to win every game. This kind of thinking instills that losing is acceptable because of “reasons”. This is professional sports where guys making tens of millions of dollars to win a game.

There's three choices.

1. Embrace it

2. Get pissed off and stay pissed off

3. Pretend everything is fine and convince yourself we're just a couple of minor improvements away from winning.

Well, I guess the 4th would be to just completely throw in the towel and stop watching.
