No, that's completely incorrect. I'm completely content with the team being this way for the rest of the year. I can't speak for everyone, but I saw this coming from a mile away. You don't have this much roster turnover, sign a mediocre run of the mill QB, have no offensive line, and expect to win games. Just not plausible.

True.

It helps to remember we are in control of none of this. Of all the "tank for trevor" posts out there, zero will have any impact on what this team does. It is a supreme exercise in wasted time.

Best to just sit back and discuss what is happening with this team currently and try to enjoy the small victories, imo.

The problem with " rebuilding "  is ,,  It isn't guaranteed that our current coach will be successful.  We've see many college coaches not be able to make the transition to the NFL.

Those of us rooting for the Panthers and Rhule , try to keep the  glass half full  attitude.  Like its almost guaranteed that in 4 yrs we'll be back on top again.

It's hard, but it's for the better. We had too many old players, Luke retired, and I think it's safe to say Tepper and Hurney fuged up on the letting Cam go thing. Although, he would be getting killed behind this O-Line as well. So, who knows? He would be hurt playing with us again.

Pretty much this.  I am not mad at this at all.  Well maybe a little since Hurney is still here.

and some of those penalties you mentioned jeremy - that kept them in the game - were completely phantom penalties.  there were a couple drives we had to stop 2 and 3 times because of those crap calls - which it didn't look like we got any.   if you're gonna call that PI on us, you gotta make that call both ways.  if you can't hand fight you can't hand fight, i'm fine with that.  but 1 team being able to hand fight and the other not is crap.

besides that we made adjustments and that happiness is like being able to see a brand new beautiful color.  its something i haven't seen. i'm so stoked about it all this crap people are spewing is just stupid noise right now.

To be fair, if the Panthers aren't down 21-0 because of turnovers, nobody cares about the penalties.

This is definitely me. I want the team to play well, compete each week, and grow for the future (especially Chinn, D. Brown, DJ Moore, Samuel, and CMC). But if we lose, the silver lining is we're another step closer to Trevor or Justin Fields.

I'm probably not going to win #1 Panthers fan this year, but I understand this team still isn't where we need to be quite yet. I'm just trying to find little victories.

I liked how the team kept fighting yesterday. I hate that personnel decisions are still our Achilles heel.

I mean, it takes personnel time to develop, gel, and simply gain experience. So, I appreciate not liking some of the personnel decisions, but I'm still not upset at the FO for deciding to go in a different direction and essentially rebuild---with whatever decent scraps of material they can muster---while trying to be simultaneously competitive. Sometimes during a rebuild, things aren't going to come together as planned, and things might get downright dirty (even ugly), but before you know it, you begin to see the obvious fruits of your labor. You can't really substitute the process!

Fortunately, like I said in the off-season, telling Marty to try to compete is probably the safest way to a top draft pick.

My thing that makes me shake my head. Is on paper, did people really think this team would be competitive? The offensive line is atrocious, the defensive line is starting two Rookies (one was out yesterday). They signed Teddy Bridgewater, and for some odd reason he got hype in the offseason. Why? I don't know. Then, we put a guy that wasn't "fast enough" for OLB at MLB. Straight from the HC's mouth, and our secondary is better with a Undrafted Rookie FA, than the actual people we drafted. Did people really think this type of roster was going to compete? Because the Panthers fans that I text and know, all said we were going to "suck." On here, is the only place I saw where people thought we would be competitive.

And sure there are positives, especially with Chinn, and that undrafted Rookie CB playing well. Those are what we need to find in our games, those positives.
