Opinions: if Lawrence is gone, what's the plan then?

It's hard to see any scenario where we don't get a top 3 QB.

Jets/Wsh/Giants/Jax/Det/Cincy are probably  our "competition".

Cincy and NYG won't draft a QB almost certainly.  Wsh is probably 50/50.  I think Jets are more 30/70 (Chase or Sewell would make a lot of sense for them if they aren't picking #1). I also doubt the Lions pick ahead of us. Stafford will win them a few games when Golladay is back.

If a single pick (especially higher than a 5th) is spent on a defensive player in 2021’s draft I will renounce my fuging Panthers fandom right then and there.

That train is still exiting stage left.

A bit dramatic aren't you? Although I would be pissed too, Embrace the suck its here for a while.

Have you seen our D? Yeah, we need a QB and OL help, but damn, we need a LOT on D too.

If we only invested draft picks in the defense..........

But seriously if we are drafting in the top5 (and I am not seeing any way around it) then Hurney is most def out the door.  This is 100% his roster and the results are on him

We are years away from being good team.  Years.  This sucks and its on Hurney.

Yeah it's his roster, but the result is from what he has been told to do. We all know this is a rebuild and they stripped the team of most of its talent in the offseason.  Also, trying to turn the Defense to a 3-4 last year and then back to a 4-3 this year hampered this defense and will take a couple years to fix.  Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind moving on from Hurney at this point, and think it will be done this offseason. But the results of this season is not on Hurney, it's on Tepper.

Would you really do that if they drafted one of the QB's in the first, OL in the 2 and 3rd, and then some linebacker or CB in the 4th?

Come on man...

Sewell is the best tackle since Joe Thomas so he's gonna be a high pick. The Penn State LB can play the middle and rush the passer, plus we always draft LBs, so he'd make sense. Caleb Farley might run a 4.3 and Patrick Surtain look like the top two corners, we could use one. And the draft is deep at safety, Syracuse has a good dude and TCU has two.
