I suspect the team was never seriously interested in running with Cam this year.  I don't believe they think he could be healthy for the 2-3 years they wanted for a rebuild.  I think if it hadn't been Bridgewater, it would just have been someone else.

Cam is playing quite well though so I'm excited to see him prove that thinking wrong.
