I figured as much. I figure that there is a hard continuity with all the changes.

The second half adjustment today was pretty promising

Oh, I'm really excited for our new coaches. I've been really impressed with what Rhule and Brady has done so far with no offseason, no preseason, and these new covid restrictions in place. We've competed in both games and almost came back in both of them. Like you said, both games we made adjustments after halftime and balled out. That's encouraging. Now just get more talent and find your franchise QB and we are back competing (oh and fire Hurney).

Idc what anyone says, that 2008 offense would have won a Super Bowl with a better QB. The Oakland game that year was when the season went all downhill.

You throw cam in that line up, you throw cam in any situation where he doesn't have to sacrifice his body to win...

Yes, but the argument is we could have been competitive today.

Shouldn't we trade cmc, if we can't use him today? His time is short, and his effort dont translate to a rebuild.

Honestly, it was something I kinda considered. The fact that CMC is only 24 made me lean toward keeping him, but I'm deeply concerned we'll run him into the ground before we're ready to compete.

Cmac will never touch the playoffs under his contract with this team. No way this team is even remotely competitive until seasons end of 2021.

I'm so happy for Cam. I hope Pats extend him and go playmaker heavy in the draft.  And hopefully we can learn from our mistakes and go Fields/Lawrence, 2 OL and 2 WR in the draft.

I agree with this. If we are lucky enough to get another elite talent at QB, hopefully we build this thing the right way. Starts with getting rid of Hurney. We have some pieces, but we need a real football guy and GM here.

Thats what I'm saying, we should have been out today, after the first half. And normally our coaching staff wouldn't adjust to poo.

Tepper's an arrogant ass. That's the reason Cam's gone because he thinks he can do better. If he really wanted to win now he would have kept Cam. Bridgewater isnt poo compared to Cam. The fact don't care about your feelings

The silver lining here is that the best thing for Cam is to be on the Patriots because this team has too many flaws to go anywhere. He deserves a better opportunity if he's going to resurrect his career. Do you think Tepper considered that? Maybe but considering Cam said that he only got a text message I think probably not.

To be fair, if Chris Weinke was my QB I'd probably forget the forward pass existed too. I'd probably just direct snap it to DeAngelo and hope for the best too.

Hahahahahah this is a fact he was like 29 when we drafted him... I've see a lot of Panthers stars come and go with no rings to show for it here, Williams,Smith,Peppers,Morgan,Keuchly,Beason,Davis. Being there at Smittys last game as a Panther and how pissed I was when we cut him so unceremoniously made me apathetic to all that followed.

Billionaires didn't become billionaires by giving a rat's ass about anyone other than themselves. You don't become a billionaire without using the fug out of everyone you've ever had a chance to use. Sad, but true.

The huge mistake we made right out of the gate with Cam was pairing him with a defensive minded coach. JR knew they were going QB #1 that year. I know his philosophy was always to go with defensive minded HCs, but when you draft a unique talent like Cam #1 overall, you gotta break with that tendency and go get an offensive minded guy. At least Ron went out and got a guy willing to be innovative in Chud, but then Chud left and Ron went full nepotism at OC for the remainder of his tenure.

You forget that, Ron Rivera had long reigned in Chud (about mid season) before he left. RR did this most likely cause he was scared. And from every game thereafter in Cam's career (even during his MVP season) Rivera always played slowdown ball anytime he had more than a 2 TD lead (even in the 1st or 2nd quarter). This greatly hindered Cam's stats; wins, and career, particularly with RR horrible game; situational and clock management.

I'd guess it would be impossible to find a billionaire that wasn't an arrogant ass, I don't know why people don't get that... To get were he is he stepped on a lot of people and never gave a single sh*t he doesn't care about anyones opinion just taking your $$$.

Yep.  I'm not going to cry over Cam. We had 9 seasons to capitalize on having a generational talent and we couldn't. Year after year we failed to give Cam the protection he deserved, despite him showing us he could turn Ted Ginn, Philly Brown and the likes into impactful players.  He needed this fresh start and so did we. I hate to say it but it wasn't going to happen here, we blew it.

So now hopefully we get another shot at things, and do things the correct way, similar to the Ravens and Cardinals.  Let's not be the Jets.

If he continues this play, he'll either re-sign with NE or go where ever McDaniels go (if Belicheck retires, McDaniels will be the shoo-in anyway).
