Forget Cam, is Bridgewater even better than Kyle Allen?

It's one week. He bounced back well after the poor first half (the whole team did except the o-line). I think him and D.J. just don't have great game time chemistry yet. Even last week there was a few miscommunications. If this persists I'll be more worried.

We need a go to target. Jake and had Smitty. Cam had Greg. Hell even Kyle last year had Cmac (which thankfully it doesn't look like we're trying to force feed him this year.). D.J. is a very solid WR and Robby has steped up and is probably the only player not named Cmac I can give an A grade to over the last two weeks. However we need a dependable target on this offense.

This isn't his first time with a solid day. They're just too inconsistent. Thank goodness we have someone that can stretch the field! We thought that he would do that on a consistent basis also.

He had 1175 yards receiving last year working with Kyle Allen.

I just don’t understand the point of being a DJ Moore hater

Still waiting for anyone to tell me how Bridgewater’s 3 ugly turnovers and weak weak WEAK ass arm being paid $20m a season is any better than keeping Kyle Allen on a cheap deal. They are basically the same QB skills wise. Allen is much younger and way cheaper. We could have signed some legit defensive talent with that money and run the same dink and dunk offense Bridgewater runs.

Secondly, anyone who watched the film from Bridgewater’s games with the Saints last season would have seen that Michael Thomas made Bridgewater look way better than he actually played and he wasn’t worth what he got paid.

I hope he proves me wrong but I am really not happy with Bridgewater so far. If he was on a cheap deal I’d be less negative but that dude is making more than Cam would have made and he’s playing like Kyle f*cking Allen.

I'm not a D.J. Moore hater. He is what he is, which is likely a high end WR2 and not the WR1 that people say that they want (you know, like 89, AB, Hopkins, Adams...in that mold).

And what if that legit D talent gave us a decent enough record not to get a stud QB in the Draft? We'd be stuck with Allen next season? TB is better than Allen, period. You can argue the contract all you want, but unless you outright tank (which no team will admit to doing) for a stud Draft pick, you compete. TB is better for competition. That's just facts. Did you make these sort of threads when Cam had 2 INTs or a fumble?

No I wouldn't make these threads about Cam because he had earned the respect of the fans. Even in his second game as a pro, Cam had 3 INTs, but he also almost upset the reigning champion Packers in that same game. He was also a rookie and still learning the game.

This was Bridgewater's second game with the Panthers, but not his second game as a pro. 3 turnovers is a bad game for any QB but it's especially bad when you make as much money as Bridgewater is. We could have (and did) get the same positive and negative performance from Kyle Allen we've seen from Bridgewater so far, which is exactly my point. We paid $20m a season for a guy who is basically the same skillset as Allen but maybe he's more experienced and has a better NFL pedigree. I guess we'll see if he can turn it around and win some games. If CMC really does miss time, this season is going to get really bad, and then I would have rather had a young cheap QB with upside than a ridiculously overpriced nice guy with a noodle arm.

And EDIT: To answer your first question, Cory Littleton or AJ Klein would have been way better options at MLB than Tahir Whitehead who signed for basically the vet minimum and is trash and a penalty liability.

Our OL is poo and it barely matters who the QB is including Trevor if we don't get people who can actually block.

Cam got done in by poo OL, TB has thrown his ducks and behind passes but also has had a who the fug is that of who the fug are theys at the OL positions and whoever the draft pick is will be Dereck Carred if we don't upgrade.
