Forget Cam, is Bridgewater even better than Kyle Allen?

I would have liked to see Kyle in this offense. The coaching this year is much better. Teddy will be ok, but would have been cool to see.

I would also like to see PJ Walker in a game but I may be on my own little island on that one. Wish there was a preseason this year.

Not for $60M, not by a long shot

yeah this is where the question gets interesting. if we know we aren’t going to compete then i would rather put that money elsewhere (filling needs, re-signing guys, etc) so that when we take a qb potentially #1 overall they have a better situation to step into. and i would hope that our FO could look at this roster and realize that we aren’t going to compete with a guy like teddy. i would rather have kyle if cost is being factored in, knowing this roster won’t be competitive without an elite qb.

Hurneymagic 2.0, same poo different day! JR deserved his statue getting ripped down just for that alone.

Allen played in a offense set up for Newton. Bridgewater was handpicked for this offense.

I see some promising qualities in Bridgewater and its too early to judge. But he needs to do better to keep his starting job for the coming years.

Allen was a "rookie" behind an awful o-line, so  this thread is valid. He could end up having a long career as a backup or even start some odd years. Who knows. Sort of the same career Bridgewater has had. Injuries. Sure. Having 14 td for a season as a starter is abysmal.

I fully expect PJ to do better than Teddy.  He should get his shot to be a starter if we keep losing.

Rookie OC coming from college, rookie HC coming from college, crap o-line, crap WRs. TB can only do so much since he isn't elite. What else do you want from him? People gave you know who every excuse under the sun. Did TB have a bad game? Yep. Can he also win games for us? Yep. Many things go into a loss ... as this board has said for ages when it comes to the QB.

I would like to see PJ after we know the season is over and were we will be picking.  Just to see what we have.

It's one week. He bounced back well after the poor first half (the whole team did except the o-line). I think him and D.J. just don't have great game time chemistry yet. Even last week there was a few miscommunications. If this persists I'll be more worried.

We need a go to target. Jake and had Smitty. Cam had Greg. Hell even Kyle last year had Cmac (which thankfully it doesn't look like we're trying to force feed him this year.). D.J. is a very solid WR and Robby has steped up and is probably the only player not named Cmac I can give an A grade to over the last two weeks. However we need a dependable target on this offense.
