I know people want to be hopeful but if we start seeing key injuries, we are in deep. Our depth might be the worst in the NFL. We got rid of so many starters from last year (most fine by me) and we patched a lot of holes with rookies and young backups who on good teams would be the depth.

Oh our depth is insanely horrible.

Bust

not sure if serious, but DEs normally need a couple of years to get up to speed, much like offensive tackles.  And this was his first game.

That said, I'm more worried about Yeets than any other draft pick.  When the second defensive end, a premium position,  falls all the way to pick 38,  it's not a good year for DEs.

Not to mention our Marty's penchant for taking players who fall in the draft.  I was encouraged to see Jeremy and some other folks really happy about the pick.   We'll see.

He definitely underwhelmed in his debut, but his motor never stopped and he gave great effort on every play. I'm super excited to see how he develops.

All of these complaints are why I don't like rookies starting. While some like Chinn look good, most look like YGM. They aren't ready both emotionally and sometimes physically. With that being said, he looked like most rookies do. Not good and prone to injury.

It isn't like we have a lot of options. Our DL depth is pretty sad. Would like to see Weatherly more but other than that....yuck. Don't think we will see much from Obada, Kerr or Roy other than being warm bodies.
