Tre has deep middle.  He should be the one helping Pride.  But he bit on the underneath stuff and did not even look outside.  I get how people blame this TD on Pride.  But I put just as much if not more blame on Tre for this one.

When is tre ever in posistion?

I am not really blaming him at all. He was in his hip pocket. If he had simply gotten his head around he might have been able to deflect that pass or get his hand in there.

My question is still, Where was Tre?  Well I can see where he was, but why was he there and not helping deep on the only deep route on that play?

You can't determine much about Tre's responsibilities from that GIF. You can't see what the entire secondary is doing at all.

What happened to all those folks who thought the D Line was going to be a monster, and who just knew in their hearts that KK would have a bounce back year?

When do folks learn?

Big men, over 30, coming off injury....you typically can't count on them to do much...and you certainly can't overpay for them.

We are doing both, like normal.

I don't know. I think you should find one who ever said we would have a monster DL during the first game without any preseason. My guess is nobody ever said this and you are creating a strawman argument.

It's cover 1 robber.  Unless they changed football Tre has deep middle zone.  That's the way that defense works.  So anything deep is his first responsibility.  There was 1 deep route, and he covered the dig underneath.  If your a safety and you have 1 rookie corner covering the only deep route on that play and you are not helping him what the hell are you doing?

Linville when we pay KK: "He's a back-up!"
Linville when we pay CMC: "It's a dead position!"
Linville when we pay Shaq: "He's can't play left tackle!"

Are you watching bank statements while the rest of us are watching football? :Eyes_Emoji_42x42:

Icege when attempting to communicate: *triggered noises*

I had zero issues with the contract KK was initially signed to.

Shaq has nothing to do with LT, but yeah we should've paid Bradberry instead.

CMC may play RB but he's a lot more to an offense than most RBs. We may have overpaid, we may not have. The Kamara contract says we didn't.

The way I see it, we are going to be last in run support anyways, why not play Roy to eat up space in the middle and help with run stopping.

Getting gashed on the ground is a terrible feeling and I'd much rather get killed through the air than with the run. At least in the air, the QB can make a bad pass, the receiver can slip, etc. Being so soft against the run leaves very little room for opponent error.

I don't think playing Roy is likely to be an upgrade over Short. Short was in for 40 snaps to Roy's 19. And that is with coaches that are much more familiar with Roy than they are Short.

We'll see how it goes over the course of the season, especially if Short's foot injury is nagging(likely to happen on a big guy that is older). If Short misses any complete games, my prediction is that you are not going to be saying, "We found our next DT!" in the postgame. Especially since this staff doesn't seem to be leaning towards veterans or nepotism like Rivera did.

When you are rebuilding and you’re paying him top dollar and it was an injury he should be 100% from now. Same with Paradis last year. You don’t pay guys $9M or $13M a year if they are injured enough that they can’t start the year healthy. We will probably release him after this year anyway. Big waste of cap and cash.

I get that but I dont think 1 game tells us if he is back or not.

KK is washed. He has been for awhile. That Hurney restructure was a terrible idea and I said so at the time. We should've already moved on but Hurney kicked that can down the road per usual.

QFT At this point we should be eating the money and moving on. KK should have been traded when he had some value.
