Concerned that after one season, he couldn't find a role in a Kingsbury offense esp. with a young gun like Murray to grow with. 

At times he has DK Metcalf vibes and looks unstoppable. But, if he's lazy and can't separate/get open in space, he's essentially a faster Kelvin Benjamin. 

Regardless, he's low risk, high reward and am happy we scooped him up. Ideally, he works his way up to WR4 at some point this year. Zylstra can be our WR5 and play that Bersin role, but I'd prefer a DJ-Robbie-Samuel-Butler unit moving forward to give us options as any of these youngsters contracts come up. 

We shall see which way he goes in his 2nd team in 2 years.

A 31 year old journeyman like Prince Amukamara? Perhaps an even more tenured Aqib Talib at 34 would make you happy? 

Closest comparison to Butler for age/draft year/potential impact is DeAndre Baker who was just cut by the Giants for his "alleged" off the field extracurricular activities. 

Butler is far from a sure thing, and could be back in the unemployment line in a week or two, but he is the exact kind of risk/reward youngster we should be trying out during this retooling year.

Wow!  Love this!  Wanted to get him when I saw he was cut by AZ.  Just wondering why AZ wouldn't have signed him back to their PS though...  would love to see him bumped up to the active soon.

Opportunity knocked! We opened the door! Pretty much that simple! Douglas was the same way! We can't, nor should we, be picky in the way in which we look for potential upgrades or good value. I like the fact that they're always amenable to improvement!

My first thought was that this guy sounds more like a TE than a WR.  That's a big dude.
