He gave us your play book and secret codes!!! Buuhaawwaaaa!!!!

I think you can sleep with confidence this year.

THAT MOTHA...

Hahah, I’m sure our games will be their usual slugfest selves though. Regardless if one team is dog **** or not, it’s usually a war, so I’m not expecting any different this year.

His point is we lost a franchise QB. You don’t find those on trees

some teams keep their qb for years. Not the Panthers.  Too dumb to put a decent line together and a decent o staff and here we are

or should I say here we are again.  And not just Newton.  Luke as well

the  list of QBs for this team since their inception is Tiring

Cam Newton isn’t a franchise QB anymore. Kyle Allen outplayed him last year. Did you not watch the Cam Newton from the past season and a lot from 2 seasons ago too? Go Rewatch the Bucs game from last year. As much as I love Cam, he’s washed. If Cam was our QB vs the Raiders, we would have lost by 14+  Teddy at least give us a chance to win.

Disagree and that’s fine as I remember every single one in t.he 25 years including Jeff Lewis and Brian St Pierre

I mean, I remember the Brian St Pierre, Keith Null, Matt Moore, and Jimmy Clausen season too. I also remember that it led to drafting Cam who was here until this season.

2011 - 2019: Cam

2010: Moore

2003 - 2009: Jake

2002: Rodney

2001: Weinke

1998 - 2000: Beurlein

1995 - 1997: Collins

Aside from sprinkling guys that had to start due to injury in (like Lewis, Fasani, Lytle, etc) that's not a terrible list for 25yrs of starting QBs... especially when compared to the rest of the league.

Thats being disingenuous. Cam was injured and shouldn’t have been on the field. Don’t equate his ability with his health. Cam is a better QB than Bridgewater.

Bill is going to wring every bit of juice Cam has left out of him while he's on that cheap contract.  I kinda feel sorry for Cam because the Pats don't care if he gets hurt again and Cam's just crazy enough to go along with it.

In all honesty, Cam is at his best when playing like that and I think he's less likely to be hurt. When he can and does run the ball, he is able to determine when and how he takes a hit. Keeping him in the pocket, behind the line is what got him killed here. It may be a risky way to play football, but sometimes you've got to let a guy play his style to give him the best shot on the field. Also, no coach is ever paid to save their players for future years; they are paid to use the resources on hand to the max and win now.

But back to Teddy... He's a good, good guy and a heck of a QB and leader. Glad we've got him. Sometimes the NFL just shakes out a certain way and you see your star QB go somewhere else, and if you're lucky you get a Teddy Bridgewater to come in and give a solid foundation. If you aren't lucky, you give Blaine Glabbert or Blake Bortles a shot.

Teddy makes it really easy to get behind him.  The more I see and hear from Teddy, the more I love the guy.

He's going to be a good player for us for a good long while.

personally, it matters not to me that he is a good guy or that he deserves a break or that he is good to his dog and his Momma.

I don’t want good.  I want great.  I want the next Mahones    KC had Alex Smith.  A good QB, they drafted Mahones, a great QB

i want great and if the Panthers  are in a position to take great, they need to do it, INMHO

Seems like a good guy. I just don’t like his style of play.

That's fair, and you have a right to that opinion, but I don't know what you're exactly looking for. I mean, if it's 50-60 yard bombs down field, I guess you're outta luck. But even Brees and Brady never really chucked it down field that much. And, honestly, most QBs don't, nor are OCs focusing on those plays to efficiently and effectively move the ball.

He is looking for a QB who will put the team on his back and pull a win out of no where.  What people dont understand is there is more than one way of doing that.  Just because Teddy doesnt do it like Cam, doesnt mean he can't do it
