someone up top (coaching) abandoning the run game and making jake throw a bunch of passes?

we knew at the beginning of this season that we needed to stick to the run game, but then we threw it a lot in the buffalo game. why does that keep happening?

i mean, really, who's calling all these passing plays? this is what i'm worried about, it's happened in the past and i'm scared it'll happen again. then again i have anxiety issues.

No, I think they learned their lesson against Buffalo. Plus I remember seeing Coach Fox finally show some emotion on the sidelines last week. They know they are one game away from the season being officially over. We are holding on to a very thin line and can't have any stupid mistakes the rest of the season. So no, I don't see Jake throwing more than 10-15 times tommorrow, but ya never know with Davidson, he does freak out and panics from time to time...:(

If Fox & Davidson are smart, they let Jake give the balls to Double Trouble in the beginning. Let them run the defense down, then let Jake loose when the Saints defense get wore out from stopping Double Trouble. But then the loss of Hoov & Fiametta might make Double Trouble struggle. :(

You should drink more and think less.

That will work as long as our D shows up and does its job. Otherwise, we'll be down by three touchdowns by the time the Saints D gets tired. We'll be throwing if we are behind by two touchdowns.

I posted this before but it applies:

I think the saints offensive attack is no mystery, the Panthers are ranked 22 as a rush defense, Saints will try to run it all day.

Even the Falcons were only 18th, when we faced them, and look what we did to them rushing.

If we are successful you will have to pull up you secondary to cover the run, then its a done deal for brees to pic and choose a run to pass, to confuse the D like he did to the giants. And he will dance on the panthers all day.

You need to fix this problem NOW before you play us. IF you dont stop the saints run game, then you will deal with both run and pass and you will have to make 40 pts on your offense.

I know the saints can stop your run or your pass, not both but one, Im guessing we our going to try to kill the run and pressure, let Jake prove he can play a perfect game, and attack the line. See if Jake can throw perfect game with no ints for 40pts.

These guys are not a joke, this is the best team N.O. has fielded for 38 years.

They don't have an off day, or ever believe they wont win, and its not ego, they will keep coming, even in the 4th you have to respect that if you let your guard down they can put up 21pts.

I loved that. I'm pretty sure he threw in "motherfuger" and "that's bullshit" in there. It was....awesome.

    • All QBs have limitations  I guess it becomes how much of the offensive playbook is gutted to accommodate those limitations ..and the world shouldn’t have been given up for a game manager …but, if he can be enough of a game manager for one season, and allow for BPA in this year’s draft, that’s a win to me as the Panthers have so many holes now.  I’m encouraged that Morgan will fill them im also encouraged that Canales will move on from Young if, and when, appropriate…as HC, it’s about more than just his Offensive playbook     I am glad for Young…no harm in being glad for his improvement.  the tale of  his tape is coming with all but one probable playoff team on the schedule i would love to see them move on from Evero…even when he had players, there was always a reason they couldn’t get off the field.  Salah, come on down
    • "Our O-Line is finally good, so we should get rid of the most consistent guy we've ever had at RT and roll the dice on a rookie in the draft because it's cheaper." -Idiots Ever heard the idiom "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush"? Moton is a Pro Bowl level Tackle. Extend Moton 3 years with the ability to cut bait at 2 if decline in play happens due to age. Look at drafting a tackle in the mid-rounds who is raw but has potential, and let him learn under Moton for a season or two. If he shows progress and looks like he can be the heir apparent, then move on from either Moton or Icky and have the newest guy slide in to the vacant T spot. If Icky continues to play well (And he has played very well this year, people are being chuds about him based on last year) then extend him too. You can't sit here and bitch about how "We AlWaYs GeT rId Of OuR bEsT pLaYeRs" then turn around and bitch when we extend said best players. Who gives a poo if we have a ton of money tied up in the line? That's where you should invest the team's money. O-Line makes the offense run. Hell, draft an O-Lineman every draft. You can never have too many of them.
