Talking Tampa Bay Buccaneers - What do you know?

I know that TB got new unis this off-season and got rid of that alarm clock look. They also overpaid for a bunch of washed talent to create the 2020 version of the old Eagles 'dream team.' Excited to see it as everyone still looks a bit rusty and I am sure the next meeting will probably be a lot different from this one.

Donovan Smith had a rough week one protecting Brady's blind side. Brian Burns has an opportunity to get himself some.

Their OL was also not getting the push it needed to get the run attack going the way that they needed it to, so this is a real opportunity to "get right" for the Panthers run D after an historically bad season last year.

Special teams for the Bucs were a big problem last week. If Chase Blackburn can get his guys to play mistake-free football, a special teams play could be the swing that the team needs to get that first W for their new coach.

This game more than any other, winning the turnover battle will probably decide the game. If the Saints could force Brady to make two big errors, I have to think our defense can. And Teddy, although plain, and pedestrian, and unremarkable, and milquetoast, and average, and middling, you've got to give the man credit, he doesn't make that many mistakes, feels pressure, and knows when to get rid of the ball. If he plays the same kind of game he did against the Raiders, has a clean sheet, and takes what the defense gives him until he finds an open man in single coverage, that might be all we need.

It's effectively our second preseason game, but it's theirs as well. We could sneak out of this one with a win.

They’ve been great at neutralizing our best asset. Last year, that wasn’t enough, because we got to sit and wait for Jameis to throw interceptions. While Brady is not in his prime, he’s an upgrade in the passer department and their interior DL is still miles ahead of the one we just faced. This is one of the games where I’ll be looking for bright spots far more than expecting success.

Outlook not so good. Buccaneers will likely handle this team in a get right week.

If I see some improvement on defense as a whole and tighten up the mistakes on offense(looking at the OL and DJ Moore specifically here) and keep this game within a score it will be enough for me to be excited.

I don't expect many wins this season, I just want to see continued improvement week on end. I want to see this coaching staff show they have what it takes to develop these young guys and make adjustments on the fly.

Tampa’s defense is pretty good. Saints got a pick 6 plus a couple turnovers which made the score look bad. White and David are probably the best linebacker duo in the league, Suh and JPP are solid on the line and Winfield Jr is looking like the real deal at safety (wish we could have snagged him in the draft somehow), Carlton Davis and Jenkins are good CBs. It will be a nice test for Joe Brady and our offense. I’m worried Godwin, Evans, and Gronk are going to gash our secondary...
