Davidson or Trgo... you must fire one.

maybe sh*tvac will go when the public dismay reaches the same crescendo as with henning.

Yep, that sure turned out to be the wise decision there. Henning now has takena bunch of cast-off players and built a top 10 offense. I wonder what he could have done here without somebody pulling back on the reins?

We can talk injuries all we want.

We can talk 'thinness' at the DT position.

We can talk coaches too.

Let's look at NE, shall we.

How many players has NE lost to IR this year?

I venture to say more than 8. One, a superstar QB ,replaced with a guy who had never started anything. Last year, we had everyone except our QB and we could not get a first down.

Think coaches and coaching and schemes don't make a difference.

Look at NE.

As much as I can't stand them, every year, no matter what, under Bellinchek, they contend.

Our defense is atrocious against any decent team. Their best ally is the run game and that is sad. The Panthers used to be respected. I shudder now, every time the Defense is on the field.

We have also let go of Tony Brown, Jovan Haye, and Kindal Moorehead. and of course, Jenkins. I'm not saying those guys, less Jenkins, are world beaters but, I would say that they would be pretty good fill-ins right now. Where the players we kept that much better?

As far as draft, we have no draft choices for what it would take for a killer DT; better hope for someone in FA.

Yes, Turgovac needs to go. This defense has gone backwards. I see players making the same mistakes week in and week out and as I think it was Lady Panther pointed out, Turgovac has no answers for, short passes, 3 receiver formations, and here lately, can't stop the same running play up the middle if the RB had a broken leg.

I can't help but think that the players hate the Panthers soft zone and 'keeping everything in front of them'. They keep it in front of them until they are looking at the play from the back end of the end zone.

the sh*t vacuum needs to go but wont due to fox's biggest flaw; excessive loyalty.

i like foxy but he sticks w/ the cold hand too long. maybe sh*tvac will go when the public dismay reaches the same crescendo as with henning.

A lot of time loyalty isn't good in sports

I've been thinking about Jack since they Jags sucked out loud!!! My thoughts as if they matter:

Special Teams has improved as the year went by, especially now that they actually return kicks & punts a few yards!!!

Offense has improved even with the "weak link" behind the center. It became very obvious that the trust factor was not there with Jake with the 1st & 10 on the 1 during the Giants game.... a big turning point inthe game.

Defense has not gotten any better.... can't stop the run.... 21 can't cover a hand grenade in a foxhole, would be crap without the two lb's, BeasTon and Davis. I say the defensive coordinator must leave unless you can't upgrade. If Jack is available, bring him back!!!

My .02

Maybe Jack Del Rio will want his old job back when Jacksonville lets him go?? haha

Turd needs to go, my eyes still hurt from Sunday's game.

It takes a lot of suckage to get burned by the same draw play, from the same player, five times in one game.

The players can't tackle all of a sudden, so you can put that on the players, but then your implying our players are not good.

I think we all know we have very good talent on our defense, but our D-cord I have never been sold on.

I guarantee you that there are some fans of other teams that would absolutley love to have Trgovac running their defense. You know, like the fans of all 24 teams that are ranked below ours in points allowed? Not that points are important in football or anything, but I have a hunch that I'm right.

Seriously, you people are freakin insane to be calling for anybody to be fired from the Panthers right now. I'm so glad Mr. Richardson is smarter and more patient than all of you.

And there are 12 teams with equal or less talent who are getting more out of their defense than we are. I don't advocate getting rid of someone unless you can find someone who is better. So it isn't a given that we should fire Trgovac and try someone who is perhaps unproven as he was back in 2003. Still if a guy like LeBeau or someone else could be hired why would we keep mediocre results when we could do so much better. We replaced Henning with Davidson with good results. I don't think it is insane to look to upgrade the defense as well. Trgo isn't really getting better nor will patience briing better results. HIs system is what it is. I personally don't think it is aggressive enough or creative enough to confuse defenses.. I would personally like a defense more like Pittsburgh or Baltimore if we go 3-4 or Philly or the Giants if we go 4-3. We frankly have more talent than either Philly or NY but have poorer results.

    • I didn't say much bigger. Watch the highlights I linked. Bryce doesn't have the arm strength and/or talent to make the vast majority of the throws Mac made in that video.
    • Tetairoa McMillan.   The last 28 1st overall picks were either a QB, DE, or OT. Seeing as I don't think we'd take an OT in the 1st and give up on Ickey as an LT yet and there doesn't seem to be a clear overall #1 type of QB or DE pick this year, it very well could be a non conventional #1 overall this year, at least in regards from the last almost 3 decades of drafts. If we didn't have Horn, I'd be more open to Hunter as a CB at #1, but we have him so another CB wouldn't be how I'd use a #1 pick.  And as much as I love Legette, if we have SB contending aspirations, I don't think Legette is a #1 on a team like that, but he damn sure is an elite #2 on a team like that.  He's more of the Smith/Higgins/Waddle to Brown/Chase/Hill (in terms of role/impact, not style of play of course). T-Mac is going to be the top ranked WR on every team's board in the end.  He is going to be a true outside #1 WR who is viewed as a consensus Top 5 WR in the game by his second contract in the same way guys like Jefferson and Chase have done.  His height combined with his speed, athleticism, and hands are near impossible to find all in one player, there is a reason his generally used comp is Mike Evans (although as he's not as thick, I personally see him more as an AJ Green). Yes, as an Arizona alum I've admitted to having bias towards the player to begin with.  But he's also someone very widely being put into the Top 5 in mock drafts lately and most of them have him as the first non QB offensive player being taken, so it's not really THAT much of a homer pick on my part anyways. If a QB or DE truly separate themselves as being a can't miss prospect come draft day, I'm open to that discussion, but until then, or if it doesn't happen, T-Mac is my pick 100 times out of 100.
