Davidson or Trgo... you must fire one.

Even with what has become of our defensive line, I'm still glad Jenks is gone. With the recent downturn in the Jets fortune, I wonder what he is doing to rally the team.

The reality of our team is that we've neglected our stud D line of years ago to address other very necessary aspects of our team. The plus is that we've drafted very good talent, are very young in key areas, and have good depth in others. Just think of where we would be now with some better depth at DT. This offseason is KEY towards making a very serious SB push for next season (no, this season is not lost).

Why does anybody need to be fired? Hell, Baltimore's defense couldn't handle the Giants running game any better than the Panthers did, and our offense put up 28 points on them and gave Kasay a chance to win the game.

If people are gonna be mad at somebody, they should be mad at Smitty for that dumbass holding call that took away a first down inside the Giants 30yd line with a minute and a half to go.

That still didn't stop us from getting closer. Because that was on first down, and then we ran 3 STRAIGHT times to set up Kasay for a long one

Instead of trying to get closer with enough time left, we decided to go conservative and let him kick a long one. He missed. So you can bet unless inside a dome, we won't do that again

I like my odds. Actually, I LOVE my odds. What sort of time frame and dollar amount are we talkin about here. I could use a good payday.

I know I saw several inside blitzes, and we got burned each time we ran it, or at least it seemed that way.

I can recall a time or two, but my perception was more outside blitzes than inside. Truthfully, outside pressure wasn't as much of an issue.

Line stunts? Not much, but I'll look again.

As long as we're discussing things that won't happen, let me throw in I'd love to see us make a move to acquire TE Heath Miller from the Steelers.

The Steelers don't use him to his ability, and speculation is he's in Tomlin's doghouse for unknown reasons. He's as good a blocker as King and as good receiving threat as Rosario (or what he used to be). I think Davidson could use him, and he's make a good security blanket for Jake.

(that's never gonna happen either, but I can dream)

    • As I said less than 10 minutes into the game, Boston looks nothing like we're used to seeing. Regardless, any curb-stomping of the Bruins is welcome.  The scorers all got the glory tonight, but all 6 D-men had excellent games. Across the board- Gost, Orlov, Chatty, Walker and, of course, Slavin & Burns.
    • I just tried a few mock draft simulators and this is the only way lol. Nothing else makes sense.
    • No, biggest weakness is pass rush, but I don't think there is a blue chip can't miss DE prospect to take at #1 this year, same as with QB.  But beyond that, moving forward, yea WR is a pretty damn big weakness. We have 1 game this season over 224 yards passing and just traded away our best WR (who wasn't going to re-sign here anyways).  That WR no longer on the team was also the only player we've had this year who had over 78 yards receiving in a game.  So again, yea, WR is one of our biggest weaknesses even right now, let alone moving into the future. As I just said in my other post, I love Legette, but he's not going to be a Top 5-10 WR type of guy, Top 15-20 I can see, I think he can be a good #1 WR or an elite #2. After that, what do we have for the future?  Thielen isn't part of it, sure as hell isn't going to be Mingo, and as much as we all like Coker, in no world is Coker as our #2 to Legette as the #1 going be considered as "having weapons" at WR, even with Brooks and Sanders. But put someone like T-Mac into that group, who I genuinely think is going to be a Top 5 WR in this league for a long time, and it changes things.  A Top 5 WR with Legette/Coker as the 2/3, along with Brooks and Sanders, has the potential to be one of the best set of offensive weapons in the league if they reach their potential.
